convinced it's an ectopic pregnancy (preg. ment.)

So I went to my OB today and had a SONO. It showed nothing except a little something that might be the beginning of a sac (his words). So I am either only 4 weeks pregnant or it's ectopic. I have had 2 pregnancies so far one went great without complications and the other ended in m/c at 12 weeks. I am in tears right now. I had a blood test done and then he wants to do an other one in 48 hours.

I am convinced it's ectopic since it really doesn't make any sense that I am only 4 weeks. I mean I tested positive on the 15th today is 21st ?!??!

Terrified!!! Does anyone have some comforting words?

Oh hang in there, hon. When you're so early, it is really hard to see and know what's going on. With my son, I went in at 5 weeks, we couldn't see anything, and I could tell the Dr. wasn't too hopeful, but 3 weeks later, there he was! Give it a few days and see what the blood tests show. Don't give up hope yet!

How early did you test and get a bfp? You may not have even been much past 3wks and a few days... plus implantation can take anywhere from 7dpo to 14dpo, given all those factors it's really too early to see anything anyways honey. Don't lose faith too quickly, but I don't blame you for trying to be prepared.

Are you spotting at all? Bleeding? Sharp pains on one side? Have sharp pains during the u/s?

There's allot of things that can contribute and are signs for ectopic... I had incrediable pain and then started bleeding.

I hope it is just too early. I got my BFP at 3 weeks and some change so that could put you on the later side of four weeks pregnant. I hope this is it for you.

Thanks girls I am trying not to cry and stay strong but I also suffer from anxiety so staying calm is really hard. I have no pain yet. Just the usual little cramping and pulling and tugging left and right. No pain during ultrasound. Never had pelvic surgery or other things that could lead to ectopic pregnancy(but really does that mean anything?). I had spotting 2 days ago. And the dr saw some brown cervical mucus at the cervix today.

I got my BFP on the 15 on June. AF was due June 12th. LMP May 15th and my cycles are 29 days. I have only had 2 AF's since D&C. So I don't really know for sure if my cycles would have stayed 29 days as before pregnancy. I am just so confused.

I so appreciate the kind words since I can't talk to anyone else yet except DH. Thank you ladies!

My dr said that they won't even show up on ultrasounds until your betas are pretty high (I can't remember the #'s, but they were in the 1000's at least I wanna say). Depending on the quality of the ultrasound machine, it'll vary too. Try not to worry. Have you had bloodwork done yet? Get some rest and keep your feet up. KUP.
