Newbie ?

I am in the middle of my first m/c. I go to the dr. today to find out if I will need a D&C. What is considered Day 1 of your cycle after a m/c? Would it be the day after a D&C? Or the day after I began bleeding?

I'm so sorry for your loss.

Hopefully you won't have to have a D&C. If you do, I'd consider the day of your D&C as your first cycle day.

I'm so sorry for your loss. I agree with the other ladies about Day 1, but remember that your cycle may be weird for a while. I hope you don't need the D&C!

I'm so sorry - the girls here are fantastic so hopefully we can help you through.

I had a D&C and while certainly not pleasant, it was nice to know that everything had been taken care of, including me, so don't write it off.

I didn't really start counting my cycle properly again until after I knew I had a 'proper' period following my D&C.

I am so sorry for your loss. I had a D&C and according to my dr you can't count the day of D&C as the first day of your cycle. You have to wait until you get your first AF. Your first AF can come anywhere from 4-8 weeks after D&C.

I agree with Aitch, having a D&C is a very unpleasant thing but you can be sure that everything is taken care of and it's the only way for them to find out why you miscarried (if you choose to find out).
