I work for the school board, so Im off for the summer now. Normally I would try to be in bed about 11 and my alarm goes off at 7, so thats the time Ive been taking my temp. With school out, my sleeping patterns have changed. For example, last night I went to bed about 2 and was up at 10. So still 8 hours. Would it be most accurate to continue setting my alarm for 7 to temp, or taking my temp after a regular 8 hrs of sleep?
Thanks for your help ladies!

I don't know if this is true for everyone, but it really doesn't make much difference what time I take my temp, as long as I've been sleeping at least 3 hours and I take it before I get out of bed. I would think that whatever is easiest for you (taking it when you wake up at 10, or setting the alarm for 7 to temp and then going back to sleep) would work fine. Good luck!

I'm glad you posted this, because I never get up at a consistent time. I get up when my kids get up...lol.

For me, it never mattered when I wake up as long as I take my temp as soon as I wake. I think it depends on the person.

I work night shift... three nights aweek.. never the same three nights.. So As long as I got 4 hours consistant sleep.. I temped.. and every month my temps confirmed Ovulation and matched right up to when I had a + opk. So I am going with as long as you get that sleep... you are good to go!!!!
