I had my D&C this passed Friday it wasn't very painful, and I almost had no bleeding afterwards. Monday evening I wasn't feeling well. By Tuesday I could hardly stand or sit. I called my Drs office twice only to have them dismiss my concerns. By Tuesday night the pain was so intense I couldn't sleep. I called the Dr on call. She told me that if I didn't have a fever I would be okay. She suggested I take my pain medication and get some rest.

When I woke up this morning things were still the same so I called the office and told them I needed an apt bc I thought I had a UTI. I lied but I new they would see me if I said that. Turns out I have an uterine infection from the D&C. She wanted to admit to me the hospital, but I declined. Since my white blood count was okay, and I wasn't running a fever. She gave me a shot, and a prescription for two different antibiotics.

I am really frustrated because a woman knows her body. I knew the pain I was feeling wasn't from the procedure, because it was getting worse instead of better. Thanks for listening to me vent.

Wow I can't believe they just brushed you off like that when they knew you just had a procedure. I hope the antibiotics work and that you can get on the path to recovery quickly.

I'm sorry they ignored you. You're absolutely right that a woman knows her body. I hope the antibiotics clear everything up quickly and you have no more complications.
