I had a chemical pregnancy last month. It was our first month trying and we were so excited to get pregnant so quickly. But just as fast as I was pregnant, I lost it the very next day. (at 4 weeks and one day) I had no idea at the time what a chemical pregnancy was until it happened. I went to the doctor and it was confirmed.
We tried again last month and I took a test last Friday and it read pregnant again. I have tested every day since then and the test remains positive. Today (Tuesday), I am 4 weeks and 2 days. Anyway, I am just so paranoid. Last month before I lost it, I felt like I had pulled muscles in my groin. I can feel it when I walk and sit down. This month I have the same thing and I fear that this means I am going to lose it again. It's too early for round ligament pain so I don't know if it means the egg is not where its suppose to go or something else. When will I be able to be optimistic and not so scared of going through this again.
The only positive is that it took 30 seconds on my digital pregnancy test to test pregnant. (it reads at 25 hcgs). I hope that is a good sign.
Also, I am 35 so I know I am at higher risk for miscarriage and don't know if its harder for a first time pregnancy to stick when you are "older"

I called my doctor yesterday and he told me to come into his office in two week (assuming it lasts until then). He didn't mean anything about coming in for a blood test. I will call and see if he will let me have one. I won't let my husband call it a baby until I know for sure that things will be okay. Thank you so much.

Good luck with the call. Sometimes if you say you are very worried because of a previous loss they will order some bw to ease your mind.

Oh, I hope this is your sticky bean. Congratulations. I also would ask for some beta's to be drawn. While it isn't a guarantee of success, seeing the numbers double appropriately can give you some peace of mind.

Thank you everyone!!! I freak out with every little movement/slight pain down there. I had a little acne (which I have never had in my life) a few days ago. It cleared up and I was upset! I'm waiting for him to call me back.

Congratulations on the positive! I got my bfp on Friday, too! It is so nerve-wracking after you've had a loss, but try to relax and enjoy being pregnant today! There's really nothing we can do, so think positive..

I just updated my title. I called my doctor yesterday. He wasn't so keen on me coming in for a blood test. He told me to just be patient and every pregnancy has a 1 in 3 chances of being a chemical regardless if you had one before or never had one. I don't know if that made me feel any better?
I am in a better place today. However, last night I had a mild sensation like the egg was detaching from the uterus and I don't know if its even possible for someone to sense that. It was like a little sting/jolt that lasted less than a second. I hope its in my head.
I read an article that said what day the egg attached to your uterus affects the success rate of the pregnancy lasting til at least through the first 6 weeks. It said that pregnancies where the egg attached after day 8 or 9 had a better chance than those eggs that attached at day 11 or 12 past ovulation.
Unfortunately, I am not quite sure which day I ovulated. We used those ovulation predictors where I pee on a stick and if the reference line is darker than the test line, I am going to ovulate. Honestly, my reference line was never darker than the test line but we had sex anyway on the days there was any line. There were pink lines on day 15 to 17 and I felt some cramping on day 17. I'm not sure if that meant I was ovulating (I have NEVER gotten a cramp in my life) or maybe the egg was being fertilized?
