So I did as some of you suggested and went in to see the ob .. He said I did have some retained tissue and possible fetal parts so they recomended another d&C today .. they said this time they should have gotton it all .. I miss my twins and while I know I can't have them back I was hoping to try soon .. Now I have lost 3 weeks I feel like and they want me to wait till october but my husband is going on exersice then for 3 weeks so we would have to wait till november i DON'T WANT TO WAIT . i am doing better though stil sad.. we need some help to get pregnant because most of the time I do not ovulate .. I can't wait that long.. it just hurts to much... One doc said 3 months, one doc said 2 and 1 said one month .., when can I try again???!!!

After our miscarriage Dec 09', our Dr told us that we can resume trying once I had completely stopped bleeding...no spotting, no blood period. The reason behind this was that when you're bleeding, your cervix is open and having sex can invite infection into your cervix which could cause more problems. Other than that he said that most Drs advise waiting simply b/c of the "healing" process from losing a child. My sister in law and I found out that we mc the same day, she's now preg again and due in October. She had a D&C, while I did not. Hope this helps. I'm so sorry for your loss *hugs*

Just to give you a little hope...I had 2 D&C's too, and almost bled to death and had to have blood transfusions...Well I got my first period a little less than a month after my 2nd D&C and then got pregnant on that cycle...My doctor said it was fine to try after my first period and that I wouldn't get pregnant if I wasn't ready...I don't see why you'd need to wait till October? that's a long time...If you aren't bleeding and you wait for your first period you should be alright...good luck to you!!!

Thanks guys.. any answers always help .. It is nice to know there are people out there who un der stand and support .. I was just wondering if I had to wait longer just because I had 2 D&Cs in 2 weeks... The dr said there was no further risk to the next baby but not to try for 3 months bu I keep getting diffferent answers... All I want is another baby.. it is hard .. I would love wins because now I feel like thats what I should have or am meant to have.. and I know there is a high chance because we will have to do IUI.. but I want what nature gives me and if it is one I will be just as happy... I feel like I am better emotionally though the 2nd D&C bought it all up again.. but I feel like the only way I will truely heal is to get pregnant again .. I can barely look at a baby belly with out getting tears.. my neighbor's 16 year old just had a baby, both of my sister in laws are pregnant and we were due within successive months of eachother .. I want to try as soon as possible.. and as soon as safe for my future pregnancy boy or girl, singlet or twins or more ... I just want my peanut safely in my belly... Any other feedback? do you guys think I can try in about a month and a week? hubby is military and I have to use provera to start my period but he leaves in October.... I know my RE will do an ultrasound to check b4 giving any meds .. but.. .. yeah so.. just let me know what any of the rest of you think.. thanks, from out here on Okinawa

My OB told me to wait until I had one normal period before trying again. I'm not sure if it's different for you because of the D&C (I did cytotec) and perhaps an increased risk of infection? But, I do know someone who also had a D&C and started trying again within a month.

I know how you feel about the waiting thing when you need medication to help you O. I had to wait about 3 cycle after my D&C before they would give me Clomid once again & now I'm waiting till next cycle to use injectables. GL!

My re off base said he would work with me as long as i understood the minimal risk i would face trying b4 the standard 3 months. but the ones on base are 3 months, no help. mentally i just can't wait that long....

I completely understand as well. I had two D&Cs in two months related to the same pregnancy. I had the first D&C on February 19 (for the miscarriage) and then at the follow-up ultrasound two weeks later they found a sizeable blood clot that had to be removed, so I had another D&C and hysteroscopy in April. The follow-up after that was normal.

After the first D&C, he told me I could have sex in two weeks, but to wait to TTC for two cycles. After the second D&C, he told me I could have sex in two weeks but two wait one cycle to TTC.

Unfortunately, my cycles haven't been the same since. The first three were five weeks apart and this one is dragging on FOREVER. So TTC doesn't even look possible until this stupid cycle decides to end, and since there's no O, we have no clue when AF is supposed to come.
