My dentist divided my mouth into four quadrants when we began all my extensive work. Well, as of my 3 fillings yesterday, my lower jaw is completely done! Now I just have all the fillings in the uppers jaw. It'll take 2 appointments on the left side and one appointment on the right. Hopefully I can get them knocked out quickly and that will get rid of the one real excuse I have keeping me from TTC right now. After that it'll just be convincing DH.

I'm feeling pretty good about things right now!

Yay for being half way there! How is your mouth feeling? I feel like I live at the dentist sometimes.

I really need a lot of dental work and just cant afford it. My insurance is not that great. I hate the dentist so bad but really really need to go.

Yeah for you getting it half done. Was it painful?

One of the cavities was actually pretty deep, nearing root canal type deep, so it actually feels better today. My gums are pretty torn up though, so I can't eat anything hard. Luckily chocolate isn't hard. =Þ

Oh, and that deep cavity solidified my resolve to get it done ASAP instead of waiting until my insurance starts over again.

Brandi: you should look into care credit (CareCredit Healthcare Finance). It's like a credit card but it's for medical expenses and if you pay off your amount within a calendar year you don't have to pay interest. That's how I'm paying for all that I'm having done.

I have Care Credit. I used it for my dd's dental work but that dentist only did a 6mths interest free thing. I have most of it paid off already. I guess each dentist does it different on the delaying interest right? Not real sure since that was the first time we had used it. I just hate going into debt more for things. Trying really hard to get out of debt. I know my teeth are important though.

Yeah, I don't know how the promotions work, actually. Mine is a year, sucks you don't have that. I understand about the debt thing, that's why Matt wanted me to wait on the rest until January because our insurance pays 80% of fillings and since I'm now over my yearly limit, we have to pay the rest out of pocket. But...I just don't feel comfortable with waiting. I mean, we started last July and did 2 root canals/crowns and had to wait until January to do more and in that time I had a tooth go from needing a couple fillings to needing a crown. And I think another crown would be more expensive to us in the long run (not to mention more painful for me).

I'll be so glad when it's done!
