Are you depression/stress eating? I did that for over a year and ended up gaining 20lbs. I finally put my mind to it and lost 3lbs, got all excited - lost 2 more and now bought the OTC weight loss pill Alli to help me along to success.

Don't be hard on yourself... I zig zagged with my weight for over a year after my loss! Looking back I wasn't always hungry when I ate, it was "comfort food".

If you want a weight loss buddy, I am here!

I hear ya on the whole weight loss thing. I just started P90X two weeks ago. I have heard a lot of great things about it so thought I would try it. I haven't lost weight yet but I am sure I will. I have lost an inch on my waist though. I haven't been able to do everything on the tapes yet and also I am not doing the diet they recommend.

Yes, I eat when happy, sad, mad, hurt, scared or whatever emotion I happen to be feeling at the time. Then I just love food. I just dont get how hard it is to lose 10-15lbs. I dont know how people do it that have 50-100 to lose. This has to be one of the hardest things I have tried to do.

I need a buddy. LOL Tomorrow is a new day right? I test on Friday so do hate to start to much of a change in diet and working out. I think walking and healthy eating should be ok though.

I have heard p90x is really tough.

I hear ya on the weight loss thing. I haven't been able to go to the gym for the last week and half b/c I re injured my hand and can't do it. And I wont be able to go for the next week and half because of vacation and packing/pre-vacation stuff. So it will be 3 weeks until I can get back to the gym. At least it will make sure my hand is better before going back to doing weights and stuff.

I hate injuries. I hurt my back 3 1/2 years ago and am just now starting to exercise a little. It is killing me though. I have gone through a whole bottle of tylenol and then some in the last two weeks. Plus I am taking darvocet and ibuprofin. Not fun at all.

Yeah, injuries are the worst! I've been taking 800 mg of ibuprofin but it isn't touching the pain Darned bone bruise It stinks! I have some vicodin left from when I had my wisdom tooth out I never used - If I could SAH and sleep for 12+ hours I would so be taking some!

Weight loss is not easy if you have 100lbs to lose or 10lbs. I lost 150lbs doing weight watchers and it was by no means easy. Ive learned that its all about portion control. Go ahead and eat that chocolate cake but only eat 1 serving. Easier said than done since I could sit and eat a whole cake!! As long as your eating healthy and getting in some exercise dont let the weight loss get to you. Its a life long journey and you will get there in time.

Be careful with Alli Missy.. I dont know if they improved it but when it first came out I heard bad things about it. It would make your bowels very umm greasy.

Thanks Rebecca for the tip. I have been taking it for 2 days now and so far don't see any "greasiness" but you are not the first person to tell me that.

You lost 150lbs? That is so freakin awesome, congratulations!!!

My DF gained a ton of weight over the past year and so I sent him to a weight loss clinic the other day. We were shocked to find out he weighed over 400lbs. He is 6'5' so he carries the weight well. Anyway, he has 160lbs to lose and the Dr said he is a ticking time bomb and if he doesn't lose the weight he won't be around in 10 years.... Talk about scaring yourself into a diet! I threw away all of the "bad food" yesterday and he is on a strict chicken and vegetable diet for the next 2 weeks. Then they will keep introducing foods slowly for him. How long did it take for you to lose the weight? We are hoping for him to lose 100 of it in the next year but totally understand this has to be a lifestyle change.

I broke my foot 2 years ago and can still feel twinges when I work out. Injuries to the body take such a toll on us even after they heal.

How are you feeling today Brandi?

Thanks for the great tips Rebecca.

I hope your friend succeeds at his weight loss. I know it can be very tough.

I am feeling ok. I think I will get back on track starting on Mon because its so darn hard to start a diet at the end of the week. LOL I am not going overboard though.

I know you can do it!!! Keep us updated. Just keep thinking about how great you will feel when you reach your target weight. I also have a reward for myself when I reach my target... I am going to buy myself a new dress! I keep that on my mind when I go into the kitchen

You know what I think we need. A vacation as a reward. LOL I mean if I knew we were going to the beach or something I would bust it to get thin. LOL Laying by the beach feeling good in a swimsuit sounds so great.

Brandi, that is so my ideal goal. To be able to go to the pool or beach or something and feel good in a bathing suit. Not feel like I have to run and hide for cover or something!

That is exactly how I feel. The only bad thing is I always feel that way no matter how much I weigh. Looking back at pics of me in a bikini in hs I thought I was fat then but I really wasn't.
