My name is Patty, I was on this board when TTC Alex after a m/c in Feb 08. We are are TTC just yet. Right now I'm just trying to pin point Ovulation, which I'm having no luck. I am still BF, it's been 17.5 months, so I don't know if that has anything to do with it. I'm in day 17 of my cycle and so far I haven' ovulated, I'm doing the ovulation kits, so I'm driving myself crazy trying to figure this out. My cycles have just started to be some sort of regular, my last cycle was 31 days.

Hi Patty! I'm trying to figure out ovulation, too (and no I'm not ttc yet either).
I'm on cd 18 and no ovulation yet here either, though my ovary hurts quite a bit today. Ugh. No cm though, and my temp dipped, so I don't know what's going on.

Brittanie!!!!!! Glad to see an familiar face
I'm started to get very annoyed with this and I don't know if it's because I am still BF Alex, I just hope I ovulate soon.

I thought I was regular, but apparently I'm missing o too. I've been using the kits for the last three months, but if I miss it again this month I guess I'm going to try charting, although I can't see myself being successful at that. I'm not very good at remembering the same time, but by then I should be back to work and my schedule might be easier. Hope things go well for you. Good luck.

HI patty !!! ...Welcome back...I am no help with your ovulation question.. I only breastfed Kaetlin for 6 months and then My period went right back to normal. I just got over my first period since my last loss in June. That cycle was 38 days so I am not sure where I am ... I think alot of us are the same ...

If you can buy & read, Taking Charge of Your Fertility by Toni Weschler, it will help tremendously. I never thought I would/could figure it out but with the right software (I use the one recommended by the book ( Download TCOYF for Your PC - TCOYF)) it's really a cinch.

Hi Patty. Welcome back to the board! I hope you ovulate soon. Weird cycles can be so frustrating! Are you just using OPKs or are you charting your temperature too?

No, I'm just using OPKs. I thought about charting, but I don't think I would remember to take my temp first thing in the morning.

 Back Patty
I'm wondering if you could use the soy iso's in the beginning of your cycle to help with ovulation?
And I'm not sure, but you might be able to use vitex (chaste treeberry) once a day everyday and it might regulate your cycle and help along with ovulation.
Do you test for ovulation between 11am - 11pm? A couple times a day when you're suspecting you're getting close to O time? You can miss a surge easily, most women it happens in the am and doesn't show up until the afternoon say 11am on... but we all know that we vary from lady to lady.

What's Soy iso and Vitex? Sorry I'm clueless to say the least.
I test between 4:30-5 when I get home. I might of missed it because i realize that I shouldn't be drinking too much water 2 hrs prior to testing, and I kept drinking lots of water.
My cycles have been mixed up because I got my first AF 14 month pp, and it was because I stopped pumping. Then they were still weird, so I stopped bc and now they are starting to get sort of back on track.
