So I finally went to my OB/GYN to do a m/c follow up appointment, initially it was suppose to be for pregnancy confirmation but I lost the baby. I went prepared to let her go, since it is my second m/c I did not want to hear the words "It was just bad luck, try again". Fortunately, my OB/GYN was very proactive she says that since I do not have a living child, something may be wrong. The same day she scheduled an u/s to see if there are any issues with my uterus and the list of test below:
Anti-nuclear AB
Antithromin III ACTIV w/Reflex
Cardioliplin IGG, IGA and IGM
Chromosomes, Blood
DHEA Sulfate
Factor V Leiden Mutation
Lupus Anticoagulant Profile
MTHR, DNA mutation
Protein C and protein S.

So now it is down to the waiting game, I'm not the most patient person so this seems like an eternity. I will get my results on Tuesday. What have been your experiences with those tests, have they found anything and once treated did everything went fine? Thanks in advance.

It sounds like your doctor is being really proactive. I have heard that mostly woman only get those test after their third or even fourth loss. I have never had the test as I have had only one miscarriage. I do hope that if it does turn out to be something that it is an easy fix and you will have that sticky BFP in no time.

Thanks Katie, I'm also hoping that the results show something easy to fix. I want a baby so much, and all this waiting is just depressing me. My first due date is in September, and if I were pregnant with my second I will be close to passing the first trimester

I haven't had those tests come back positive, but I wanted to say good luck!!

If those tests come back without a cause for your losses, you might want to ask your doctor about testing for the Factor II mutation (also called prothrombin gene mutation). It is another clotting disorder that has been associated with m/c. It is newer and more controversial (some docs will treat for it and some won't).

I hope you get a clear answer with an easy fix so you can get your sticky BFP soon!

I'm glad that your doctor is being so proactive! I've never had those tests, because my doctor isn't, and since I've "only" had two losses I got the "it just happens and we'll do tests if it happens again" speech. I wanted to wish you good luck!
