I know there are medical reasons to wttc but is there a medical reason to wttc after a natural mc? I was told that I passed everything, no need for a d&c. Not a molar pregnancy. My hcg is back to normal. My OB said I could try for another but to wait 2 cycles. Is there a medical reason? He said I'm more likely to mc again if I ttc before that. Is that true? I'm not getting any younger and waiting 2 cycles could be a long wait since my periods were often 50 days apart before this. I'm anxious to be pg again and reading online gives me many different answers. Anyone know?

This is what I have been told too but I have seen a lot of people online get pg IMMEDIATELY afterward & go on to have uneventful pg.

My doctor's told me 2 different waiting times. One said 3 cycles, the other said 1 cycle. Both said the wait was for emotional healing and making it easier to date the next pregnancy.

I was told two different times by the same dr. At first he said 3 months, and at my two week check up he said after my first cycyle. From what I have read online, and in books, it is okay to try after your first period.

When I pressed the nurse for an explanation on why I should wait two cycles like she told me, she said it was because the uterus lining might need time to build up after the m/c. So basically, it would be harder to get pregnant, but not a higher risk of m/c.. Given that explanation I just went ahead and TTC right away.
