I started bleeding the other day, lots of red blood...I went to the ER and my baby was still alive..I have a bleed behind the placenta...When I got home that night I bled really heavy and passed big clots...The next day (friday) I went to the dr and the baby still had a heartbeat...Yesterday my bleeding slowed way down, but then picked up again last night and this morning...It's slowed down some, but it's still heavier than it was yesterday and it's bright red still...I'm doing bedrest (Just getting up sometimes) and drinking tons and tons of water...They said i'm having a threatened miscarriage...I just don't know how i'll know if I am having a miscarriage, or if it's just bleeding...I had a very very early miscarriage like 12 years ago, and I don't remember hardly any of it, I think I blocked it out...With my last miscarriage, I didn't have any bleeding or pain, just a D&C...So I was wondering if anyone could tell me kind of what it feels like? I am not seeing my dr again till tuesday, and for some reason it's driving me crazy not knowing if the bleeding is from the bleed or a miscarriage...I'm not really having much pain, just every once awhile a small pain here and there, kind of just like growing pains, which I always get while pregnant.

Super big massive hugs hun! Sending you load of super sticky dust too. When I had my early loss it was just like a very heavy AF. I had alot of cramping too. I'm not sure how you would tell right now with having a bleed anyway but if your bleeding gets too heavy you should go to the ER. You could be hemorrhaging and it might provide you some peace of mind as well. Your in my thoughts and prayers. Please keep us updated as much as possible hun.

Thanks! I'm very on top of the bleeding since I hemorrhaged back in May...It hasn't gotten that bad...the heaviest bleeding I had was thursday night, and saw a dr on friday...Even this morning when it was heavy again, it was nothing like that...Plus the clots i'm passing are small, and I Think it's just because when I lay down the blood pools inside...I'm pretty sure it's not tissue of any kind....I just can't wait for tuesday to get here.

Glad your keeping on top of it. I know its easier said than done but try not to stress so much. I can't remember who it was but someone on the PAL board also had this happen and she now has her baby. Maybe if you post over there someone will remember who that was and might be able to direct you to them

If your not having cramping... I would say you are not miscarring as of now. Having a bleed behind the placenta dosen't sound good.. But it would have to depend on were the bleed is. I would just keep an eye on the bleeding.. If you do start bleeding more than a pad an hour.. you need to got back to the ER. And I would give your Dr a call to see if he wants to see you maybe Monday... HUGS.. I am so sorry after all you have gone through.. now this.. HUGS

I just knew! Plus, may be TMI but... I passed something kinda large. I felt something that I KNEW was a baby. Of course my m/c was when I was 11 wks & we KNOW at the 8 wk u/s baby was healthy & happy but I'm not sure when I lost him/her after the 8 wk u/s.

Oh yeah, I did have lots of cramping (mostly in my lower back & some in my abdomen) & in timed intervals... just like labor pains. I knew I was in labor...

Everyone is different. I've bled through more than one pregnancy. I knew I was having a MC this last time not because of the blood, but because of the cramping. I had really bad cramps that sent me to the ER. When I got there, there was still no blood. The next day I continued the cramping but tons worse, then when I got up there was a gush and I knew.
I'm keeping my fingers crossed for you. Try to relax and take it day by day. Bedrest sucks (BTDT) but I hope you'll get a sticky bean out of it.

I really hope it's just regular old pregnancy bleeding that ppl get in the first tri.
With my m/c all I had was the bleeding, no cramping at all..but I was only 6 weeks.. really it was just like AF, except on the second day I passed a few clots.
Good luck to you, and keep rested!

I know I have mentioned it before. I bled bright red blood with small clots during a lot of my pregnancy with Wesley. They never found a reason, so they just said it was a "vanishing twin". Wesley was fine though. With my m/c at 10 weeks, I never had cramps, just a lot of dark brown bleeding. My body never miscarried the baby, so I had a D&C. *hugs*

With my 2nd one I bled for a week with no pain or clots, then one morning I woke up and I started having bad cramps, tmi but, I felt I had to go #2 and when I was on the potty I felt I had to push and the baby came out. Then the cramping stopped and I bled for a week after that. With my 1st I just cramped and had blood with clots, but the cramping stopped after I passed the clots. I'm hoping your just bleeding and not having a m/c. I hope you have good news at your appt and they figure out what's wrong. GL!!

Megan, I am so sorry that you are going through this. You are in my thoughts and prayers hun. I was 7w4d when I started to bleed this last time, no cramping. The Dr sent me for an ultrasound and the baby's heartbeat was good. They told me to rest and that it was a threatened miscarriage. The next day I passed a clot and I just knew what it was. I took it to the Dr and the lab confirmed it was the 'product of conception'. I am praying with everything I have that this isnt going to be the same for you. I wish I could do more to help you. ~hugs~ Im still praying.

Thank you! I don't think i've had a miscarriage as of now...I haven't passed any large clots since friday morning, and I saw the baby after that...I'm also still having pregnancy symptoms...The last couple times I went to the bathroom the bleeding had slowed, I hope it doesn't get heavy again.

Pregnancy symptoms are a good sign. Almost as soon as the baby passed, mine completely disappeared. I feel so helpless right now, I didnt want to see you back here. (Except for happy updates, of course) Please make sure to update us on Tuesday as well.

Thank you tobi...When I had my missed miscarriage at almsot 15 weeks my symptoms went away too, so as long as i'm still feeling my morning sickness, it makes me feel better...I'm also still really tired too.

Megan I am so sorry you are going through all this. I also did not want to see you back on this board but only for happy updates. I began spotting about 7 weeks and was told a threatened miscarriage. For me OB ran betas and mine went from 4000 to 800 in 2 days so we knew then..Next day I started passing large clots... Maybe have them run betas to ease your mine... make sure they are not dropping.. Will be thinking of you.. Keep us posted!! BIG HUGZ!!!

Absolutely Becca, you are totally right. I totally forgot about that. Megan, maybe see if you can get the beta done on Monday? If not tomorrow, then they should do it for sure at your appointment. T&P hun

I saw a dr on friday that wasn't my dr...He was new, and was HORRIBLE...I asked for blood tests and he refused...He told me all kinds of horrible things...I'm seeing my dr on tuesday...I'm sure that i'm going to get an ultrasound...as of right now i'm still positive i'm pregnant...with Subchorionic Hematoma you can bleed and still go on and have a healthy baby...i've heard many stories here on JM, so I don't think it always means miscarriage...I just keep praying...I don't think I could handle another loss...I think I read that about 9% of people with subchorionic hematoma miscarry, so that's a pretty low %...I'm trying to hold out and have a little bit of hope even though my mind isn't wanting me to.

Megan I hope that everything is okay. It all sounds promising. Please KUP on your Dr. appt on Tues.
BTW - with my loss I lost the symptoms first, then I was spotting, then I started "labour" (back pains 2 days prior to loss - intense cramping day of loss).

Well With my miscarriage last month. I started with light cramping. I thought I just needed to drink some water and move around. Well they kept getting worse and coming alot closer and then back pain started moving in.. I know any bleeding is so scary even if it is not a miscarriage.. I hope is stops soon.. Big hugs and hang in there
