I'm in ttc limbo and I'm actually happy about it. I went in for my IVF scan and they finally found something wrong with me after 6 losses. They found that I have a septate uterus. so, basically it's heartshaped when it should look like and upside down pear. So, on Aug 20, I go in for the corrective surgery. So, we are in a holding pattern for now until October would be my guess, i will have more info on 8/17 when i go in for my preop and get all the info then. I can actually enjoy sex again, it was such a chore to have to do it on this day not on that, pee on this to double make sure it was the right day. and then the whole time we are dtd, i can think about, is this it? is this the one time that will make our baby.

I'm glad you're getting a little bit of freedom. TTC can really be hard on you, especially with so many losses I'm sure. Here's hoping the surgery is all you need! Until then, enjoy yourself.

Welcome to TTCAL in Limbo. I feel the same way you do about not having to be bombarded with tests and "is it the right day to do this" and being in the TWW and torturing yourself then.
I'm so sorry for your losses. I hope the surgery goes well and you get your BFP your first month back at TTC.

OK. so it's been a while since i updated. I had the surgery on the 20th, everything went smooth. The removed the septum, polyps and one of my fibroids. I did find out that I have to go in for a second surgery. They want to take out all of my fibroids. They said that I can try again but they worry that with the 6 fibroids that are left, they would eventually interfere with the blood supply to the placenta. Scared to death, major surgery, 4-6 weeks off from work and then 3 months before ttc. UGGHHHH....

i'm really sorry I hope you can get everything fixed and you have a quick recovery...i'm kind of curious, what do they do to stop the blood flow to the fibroids? I don't have fibroids, but my problem is usually treated the same way as fibroids, and I was told that if they did that, that I couldn't have another baby.

I have an artery that's damaged in my uterus (the reason that caused my last hemorrhage), it was probably done when I had a D&C in April, and my miscarriage has caused it to bleed again...I read that an embolizum (which is what they do for fibroids) is a way to treat it, but they are talking about cauaterizing (sp) it, and she told me with either one of those you can't have a baby afterwards...She told me to prepare myself for that possibility.....Oh and my test did come back positive for lupus aunticoagulant, but I have to be retested before they consider it a positive.

god, that sucks, I 'm so sorry. I hope that they are wrong about the damage to your uterus. If you have the lupus anti coagulant, don't stress, they can manage that with medication. I'm going to have the fibroids surgically removed so that there isn't damage to my uterus, no cauturizing as that causes scarring.
I really hope that it works out for you, when do you find out?

I have an appointment on thursday...she mentioned maybe doing a pelvic MRI...She also said she was willing to go 3 more weeks with the bleeding before surgery (and that was last week)...I looked on the calander and i'm going to ask if she'd wait till the week of September 21st before they think about doing surgery, as long as i'm not hemorrhaging...They are keeping a close eye on my blood count too, i'll probably have another blood draw this week...I also think i'm going to tell them that I won't give permission to do anything to make me infertile unless i'm dying...My husband agrees with me...I mean once they do it, I can't get it back, so if i'm not dying they have no reason to do anything.

my miscarriage was 4 weeks ago tomorrow...I bled for 7 weeks after my miscarriage before that...I hemorrhaged at 3 weeks, bled for 12 days, 2nd D&C (which they shouldn't of done), then 16 days after that...that's why i'm hoping we can wait till the week of the 21st, that gives me 7 weeks from my miscarriage...I'm hoping that's what my body needs to heal....Not to mention I bled for almost 2 weeks before I miscarried...i'm so done with it lol
