I am 5 DPO and am having a strong feeling that I should start progesterone. I have 2 refills left. DH has chromosome issues, so if we did conceive, it's a good chance we'll miscarry from that. Progesterone may just drag out the inevitable. But it may help a healthy pregnancy.... What do you girls think?

I think I would feel more comfortable doing it if I were you. If at a later date you find that the pregnancy isn't viable for another reason, you can always stop the progesterone, right? I would want a healthy baby to have every chance it could get.

Good luck!! I hope you're right!!

Is 5 DPO too late to be helpful?

Progesterone should be started within 24 hours of ovulation.. But I would start it anyway.... My doc would bring me in for my U/S... look at my follicles and tell me to start them on Monday or tuesday... depending on the size.. (he was 100% right on with 48 hours after a + OPK!!!) So it was about 24 hours after ovulation.. He would tell me to test early... On 12 DPO (I would always do alot earlier than that) ... If It was a BFN... He told me to stop the progesterone... to bring on AF.

So Yes I would refill it.. and start it ASAP!
