I think I did something bad. Or I guess I should say we. I miscarried at 8wks almost 3wks ago. I was told to wait 2 cycles by an OB and 1 cycle by the ER doctor before ttc. You can see where this is going. I haven't had AF yet and last night dh jokingly said "let's make a baby". Not thinking, we didn't use protection. Now today I'm having ovulation pains.
Did I royally screw up? If I get pg, I'll be scared to death, not to mention what the OB will say. If I don't, I'll be really disappointed. Now I'm anxious and going to drive myself nuts. And all this after dh said to wait a couple months. Now he's saying maybe it will be a boy. I don't think I can handle getting my hopes up.

Oh no, I did the SAME thing. I was really nervous to bd after my miscarriage but I finally caved and told my dh that I refuse to use birth control. Next day I had a ton of ewcm. I usually can pinpoint ovulation by that so I think I ovulated the next day. I too fear getting a bfp and not getting one. Ack. Sorry, I'm no help but I AM in the same boat!

Cough cough, I umm...., well.... apparently there are a lot of us living dangerously. I'll check back in on 8 days past ovulation when we all start testing. (I think there's a reason there aren't at home hcg blood tests, I'd need a transfusion by 11 days dpo.)

I conceived DD before I got my first AF from my second loss. I was worried about what my dr was going to say, but the only thing he mentioned was making it difficult to date the pregnancy. I knew when I ovulated so that helped, but once we got the dating u/s done he got over it. Good luck!

I second what Lori mentioned.. I have always waited a cycle, but if you miscarried naturally I don't think you should be to worried.. It is mainly just a dating thing..

Thanks all. Still feeling nervous and a little guilty. Who'd ever think I'd feel guilty for having sex when I'm married.
Just to confirm that I'm not going nuts for no reason, I bought an opk.
What do you think? I haven't used one of these in years

Very, very close to positive. We did not use protection after my d&c, but I did not get pregnant until after af came.

I think this probably happens a lot. I actually was told three different things from three different docs and one of those was that there was no reason to wait to concieve. I have heard lots of success stories about concieving right after a miscarriage. So I would try not to worry so much. The ov test does look positive, or at least very close to positive. So, despite what may or may not have happened, I really don't think you would get pregnant if your body couldn't support it because of the miscarriage. Hang in there and think positive thoughts

Same here, we DTD unprotected in the cycle after my M/C around the time I might have O'd but did not get PG. If your body isn't ready, it won't get PG.

I also think it's a lot more common than you think. I had a m/c Aug 09 and got pregnant in Sept 09, however my pregnancy in Sept was ectopic. Had my left tube removed then was told to wait 2 months before trying again, which was not in my mind at all. Then poof pregnant again in January, so I think if you were to get a BFP everything should be ok, they only tell you to wait so your uterine lining can build up.

Better pics today although I haven't been able to edit it. The top is yesterday day, middle last night and bottom this morning. Control is on the right. Do they get lighter? I have 4 more and feel like using all of them.

I've only ttc once which resulted in our ds. I'm one of those that have fallen pg even on bc so this is both exciting and scary. Last night dh said "goodnight to both of you" and I had to hit him with a pillow. He was so set against ttc before the mc. It's strange the way he's changed in 3wks.

yep they look lighter, so you are in the process of or about to ovulate (are you ttc this cycle? I'm a little confused lol)
If you're not trying to get pg/ttcal right now... then I'd avoid bd'ing right now jic and not chance it. Otherwise I wish you the best in what you're hoping for hon

II wasn't ttc as they told me to wait and dh told me he wanted to wait as welll. The mc was a one night oops and after, I felt so empty I wanted to ttc but dh said to wait a couple months. He didn't even tell me he changed his mind. It just sort of happened and when I started getting O pains, I sort of panicked.
I've only used opks once before and wanted to make sure I'm reading them right. I doubt it'll happen this month but now I know I'm ovulation again, dh is on board and I can read an opk.
