I haven't been posting pregnancy updates because I was waiting til I got past my danger points. On Tuesday I turned 14 weeks with no bleeding so I thought this was finally going to happen. Last time I passed the baby at exactly 14 weeks.
Anyway, my OB was nice enough to schedule an US yesterday. DH is leaving next week and will be gone all week. I just needed the reassurance that everything is okay.
We unfortunately, the US showed a still baby measuring 14weeks not moving and with no heartbeat. I beyond devastated. This is my third early second tri loss -- second this year. I am hoping to get a D&C soon but right now the earliest time available is in 2 weeks.
I am pretty sure we will not be TTC again. My OB doesn't want us to TTC again til after we meet with a reproductive specialist but I think we are done.

I'm really sorry , I too have had 2 2nd trimester losses this year, it's so hard...why can't they give you a D&C for 2 weeks? that doesn't sound safe to me...When I had my miscarriage in April, my dr said that it wasn't safe for me to miscarry on my own because I was so far a long that I could hemorrhage at home...I hope you get some answers, and once again i'm really sorry

Unfortunately, there is little room for any surgeries in this city over the summer.
I had a consult with the Dr doing the D&C yesterday and he said that only 5 of the 17 operating rooms in the city are open during the summer. That OBs first time in the OR is in two weeks (19th of August). If things do start on their own then I have to go to the ER and request an Emergency D&C. Of course that means, it will probably be pretty far progressed by that time.
This waiting is very hard. I really don't know what is worse, waiting the two weeks or going thru it on my own again knowing the dangers.
Thanks everyone for your support. I really need it right now.

I'm so very sorry Karen my heart is with you honey. Is there going to be anyone there to help you, to be with you during this time and maybe help you thru these next couple of weeks since DH is going to be gone? I'm concerned about you honey!

My MIL is arriving today and I have girlfriends 'on call'. Why does this always happen when DH is away? Last time he was in Asia.
I am numb right now but having horrific nightmares.
