Do you think I should be worried that at 17dpo my test line is not darker than the control line on a FRER. It's almost darker on an IC, which is odd, but not on FRER. Or am I giving test sticks too much credit?

My tests throughout my whole pregnancy (with my DD), were very light. So light I didn't even think I was preggers. (Back then I didn't know any line meant that I was....)

I can't tell you whether to be concerned or not, because I hadn't had a loss until after DD was born, but hopefully letting you know that my lines were very faint, and I had no complications during my pregnancy and she is now a three year old little monster

Maybe call your doc, just to be sure?

*hugs* let us know!

Sorry i'm not more help.

No I think you should be fine. As long as they are not getting lighter...

I have a theory on the new FRER. It is totally unscientific and just based on reading a couple of TTC message boards. I think they are designed to not get any darker. I think the execs at FRER lurk on these boards (well, at least they pay people to lurk) a realize all the POAS addicts look for darker lines and when they don't get darker, they buy more tests and FRER makes more money.

There are also so many variables - how diluted the urine is, time of the tests etc.

The only reliable test is a blood test - can your doctor's office draw betas to give you some peace of mind?

Kat.

I like your theory!! I had 2 betas drawn. My first at 11dpo was 31 and my second at 13dpo was 82. My OB wants me to pick up an order for another beta tomorrow, and they'll test my progesterone too. I've been using pg tests to make me feel better, but since it's not helping, maybe I should stop.

I don't think I've ever had a hpt line be darker than the control line. I always just tested until the lines were the same shade, then didn't test again and went and saw the Dr. I did test 4 times though with my last pg and the lines were already dark so I guess you can say I'm a poas addict. I'm trying to hold out right now but afraid I'm failing.
