*hugs* I'm sorry honey. Sometimes doc's can be a big pain in the arse, specially when they aren't your own.

Thanks, I'm feeling a little less frustrated now. I've already warned my dh to ignore anything I tell him in the next 48 hours because I'm a big B. lol. It's awful.
As to the cramps, I usually take ibuprofen but it only barely works. I have to take so much in order for it to help that it hurts my stomach and I get rebound headaches. If I cycle through different meds that helps sometimes.
How are you feeling?

Have you thought about finding a more skilled Dr, and having another lap? I asked because my OB said he would not be able to remove the endo without removing my ovaries etc, because they were attached. I decided to seek out a second oponion. I found a reproductive surgeon who was able to remove all of my endo (stage IV) and leave my ovaries intact. I did loose my tube, but this is something he told me I would loose before hand.

I heard there is an excellent endo clinic in Georgia. Is that where you went? I have considered seeing a specialist. We were going to try for a bit and if we have no success or the pain gets unbearable, we will go. Only problem is it can be rather spendy as it wouldn't be fully covered by insurance. I hate endo.

I'm sorry....I know how what's like. I always had to take Vicodin for my migraine and when I ask to get refill the nurses would tell me that the doctor doesn't like to do that without seeing me even if in my record it said I need them for my headaches.

I remember after my d&c the doctor didn't give me anything for pain afterwards, (not even ibuprofen) and I was in tons of pain. I asked him for some a day afterwards because the pain was unbearable, and he told me that he wouldn't give me any. It wasn't until two days after my d&c when they found out it was ectopic that he gave me anything for pain. (he actually wrote me out a script, without me having to ask for it) and told me he was sorry because, the ectopic was probably the main reason why I was still hurting so bad, and that he really should have gave me some when I called.
Sometimes I wish the docs could have a machine that measures pain, and they can hook it up to themselves and feel how much pain we are in. Maybe then they wouldn't be like that.

Momo yes I am in GA. I seen Dr Lyons, who is based in ATL. From his website :
Dr. Lyons' use of video laparoscopic laser excisional surgery has been shown to be far more effective than just laser removal of the disease visible on the surface. His objective is to remove all endometriosis while preserving a woman's organs.
When looking for a Dr. I emailed him, and he emailed me back within 24 hours. We traveled four hours for the surgery and had to pay more, but it was still cheaper then IVF which I would have had to have if I went with my gyno.
Here is the website of my dr Meet Dr. Thomas L. Lyons
Maybe you can email him and ask him can he recommend someone in your area.
Good luck
Karen

Momo I'm sorry
What if they tried a combination of a muscle relaxer for the contrx/cramping and then try the 1,000mg of ibuprophen combination. IDK, doctors are extremely funny about perscribing narcotic pain relievers because the FDA monitors their Rx's. I'll save you my story about all of that, but just know that is most likely the reason why they're so weird. I mean sheesh, have you asked if they could give you a 5-7 day supply? There's no way you could be a pill popper if you only have that limited amount. Geeze. It's only for AF, not like you have to take it on a daily basis.
oh and something else I learned.... also tell you that when you ask for a specific medication, ie) vicodin or percocet that throws up a red flag with dr's, rn's. HOWEVER, in your situation I'd go down to their office and talk to someone else, perhaps ask for another dr in the practice to look at your chart, help you.

I'm sorry you're in so much pain. After my D&C my OB gave me a script for Tylenol 3 without me having to even ask. She told me I probably wouldn't need it, but she was giving it to me anyway. Some MDs are much stricter about that kind of stuff, though. Maybe try calling when your regular OB gets back.
