Hi All,
For the past 4-5 hours I have been cramping horribly. So bad at one point that I couldn't walk. (It has eased up since then) I think I ovulated yesterday or today. I felt this way after I had the IUI 3 months ago but not since then. We are not activelly TTC so I am not on any medications at this time.
I will call my doctor in the morning, but in the meantime has anyone gone through this? It is worse than AF cramping and located in my lower uterus, upper pelvic area.
Thanks!

I always get cramps like that on the day I ovulate. I can actually pretty much pinpoint the hour I O because they're so bad I can't do anything for about an hour. My cramps build for a few days before, and then those really bad hellish kind, and then after I just ache for the next day or so. They've gotten worse with each pregnancy, too.
My first cycle since weaning Patrick those really bad cramps scared me so bad I almost called a friend to take me to the ER, but then the pain eased. And since I was charting last cycle it confirmed that the day I do that is actually O day.

Thanks Brittanie, you eased my mind. When I took Clomid I felt this way but this month we are not even TTC and I felt it. Maybe it is the new me? The cramps have calmed down and are just an annoyance at this point so I am sure I will be better in the am.

Missy...when I ovulate sometimes I get real bad cramps. Usually about 6 out of 12 cycles a year. I think it's caused by some cysts on your ovaries. I would call and see if they might want an ultrasound on your ovaries to see if it is cysts. I had one the size of a tennis ball this last december. The told me to take it easy for a few weeks and it resolved itself on its own. Btw...it did happen when I should have been ovulating...just so you know....

Julie, it is really interesting you say that... Actually 4 months ago I developed cysts (3 of them) after my IUI with clomid cycle. AF didn't show up for 7 weeks and I took plan B (the morning after pill) to mess with my body to try to jump start AF. It worked but then she didn't show up for another 6 weeks or so. I had an ultrasound that confirmed I had the small cysts.
Last month AF was on time (24 day cycle). Maybe the cysts never went away? That would make sense!
I went out of town and saw DF last night and hmmmmmm..... maybe a miracle will happen, lol.
Thanks

I have, allot actually... sometimes it's on one side or another, sometimes in the middle or what feels to me like my cervix. I don't know what it is other than I'm assuming O related. I always have had cysts on my ovaries even when I've been pregnant, so I've never known otherwise idk if it's bad or good.
I'm sorry
btw, I suck and I'm sorry I haven't calle dyou back... I'm off the next couple days and I will I promise!\\
Love you!

I get them when I'm on Clomid like this month but even when I'm not on Clomid I can tell when I ovulate too. The doctor seems to think it is because I have endo right around my ovaries.

I bet you it was cysts...they most often resolve themselves. That's exactly what happened to me a couple of times this last year...horrible pain around the time of O and then in a few days it would ease up. I am glad your feeling better...and I hope things go really really well the next few weeks!

I'd be interested to have an ultrasound of my ovaries to see what's going on with me, because it's EVERY month.
Although, developing cysts is technically a part of ovulating, only they call them follicles.

I always cramp straight through from O to af. And through af. And after af leaves...lol. But I have endo so that may be why it's so bad for me. But yeah, post O cramping is awful. It was especially painful with the cycle I got pregnant on and later lost.

I always.... can tell when I ovulate... I get such pains it can be so bad at times... it takes my breath away... While yes I did have a history of cysts.... I know the three cycles I was on clomid no cysts... but I still had the horriable side pains! I pray (I have been since you left us) for your miracle! If anyone deserves this.. it is you!!!!! Love you Missy!
