Okay so since the chemo and my hair breaking off my hair is slowly growing. I'm at the point where I could do a faux hawk, or even spike it. I tried doing it like Alyssa Milano's in season six of Charmed, but I ended up looking like a boy. Here's my question: i've been wanting to do something fun with it, in a new weird way, because my hair has never been this short before ever, so since I can I might as well, right?

I've been thinking of getting some non permanent funky colored hair gel, and spiking it like that, or maybe even doing the faux hawk with the tips a funky color. (My hair is naturally a dark brown, with some red in it) or just dying it weird colors, just for fun. Right now i've just been covering it with a scarf because i've been too embarrased to show anybody how horrid I think it really looks. The only person who has seen it is DH.

Any other ideas?

I'll try to post pics, if I can get the nerves too.

Yeah I'm going to grow it out again, though to what length I'm not sure. I suppose since i'm starting anew I can always just keep track of what lengths I like the best

I know how you feel!

I went fire engine RED and LOVED it, allot of people loved it as well... I had had beach blonde hair for a long time and after both of my losses last summer I sorta went thru a "drastic change" mode perhaps hormones and grief so I decided RED, very very real unnatural fire engine RED and this pic I'm posting is NOTHING compared to how red it became in real life. I used a permenant dye first that washed out so then I switched to a semi-permenant that was AWESOME and kept it looking so crayola looking. LOL

I think it is so fun when people with dark hair add some deep purple, blue, or red. It sounds like you have good ideas. I hope it turns out really cute!
