I go in for my septum removal surgery this friday and I'm pretty nervous about it. I went to the RE yesterday and got my results from my MRI and they found more wrong with me. I have 7 fibroids and 3 of them are bulging into my uterus. and two of the other ones are degenrating, ie, dieing. So, i have to have major abdominal surgery next month to have all of them removed. I'll be in the hospital for about a week and will be out of work for about 6 weeks and won't be able to ttc for 3 months after tahat.. I'm totally freaking out. It scares the crap out of me. Anyone else have to deal with this????????

I never had to deal with anything like that, but I wanted to post to give HUGS. I'm sorry this is happening. I hope everything goes well.

I have no experience with fibroids but I wanted to wish you the best on Friday. I will be keeping you in my thoughts and prayers. Everything will be fine and before you know it you will be TTC and get that wonderful BFP! HUGZZ!!

I don't have any experience with fibroids, Michelle, but my aunt did have to have some removed, and she just popped out her 5th baby (an oops baby conceived at age 41!). I hope the surgery goes well and that you get a BFP your first cycle trying!

Hey ladies, thank you all for your kind words. I had the 1st surgery yesterday and it went really good. They removed my septum and a few polyps and they were actually able to remove one of the fibroids. So, now I have my follow up next friday to see what the plan is. I'll keep you posted.

Michelle, that is great news! I am so glad you are on your way, and that everything has gone smoothly so far! I am keeping my fingers crossed for you that your doctors have a great plan for removing the rest of the fibroids, and that you are TTC again by 2011!
