Would you be more likely to trust fertility friend or ClearblueE Fertility Monitor? I got a high reading today on the monitor cd11, but when I put my temp into my chart (see chart below) I got cross hairs. Its putting me at 3dpo, O day cd8. My monitor is on the same track as it puts my O day every month, Im positive it will say O for saturday, cd13.
Im thinking wait and see if I get my normal O pains and use that as an indication, along with the monitor, as to whether I O cd13 or if it actually did happen cd8.
What do you ladies think CBEFM or FF?
Figures, when I was on a break from ttc for relief from the stress, everything all lined up perfectly. Charts, monitor, ff. Now that we are back to it, this confusion happens, and I get stressed out about it again! And my dbf is SO unconcerned about it, he goes back to sleep after I tell him! No wonder I get stressed out about it!

Tobi, the O date that FF is giving you doesn't look like a dramatic temperature shift. If you have a more definitive shift later (like CD13 like you're expecting) FF will shift its crosshairs to that date. Especially if CM and your monitor also point to CD13.

When I'm in a case where everything isn't lining up, I usually keep BDing and keep POA OPK until I get a clear O, or until it would be time for AF based on the iffy O date. In your case I wouldn't be surprised if you do O on CD13 and FF just changes its crosshairs once you get higher temps CD14-16.

Good luck and try not to stress too much!

I think i'd trust my monitor more than FF...I noticed when I was charting it would change things all the time any way...I bet in a couple days it will change your O date too...Good luck!

Tobi I hate to say it but I don't put THAT much faith in charting because so much can make your temp fluctuate... I like to do it everyday, it does show an overall pattern of sorts however I don't rely on that as much as I would all the elements that make up my cycle.

I have been using the CBEFM which I love, opk's and charting/temping... the chart doesn't always coinicide with my cbefm/opk's.

FF took away my crosshairs this morning, Im sure it'll be lining them back up tomorrow. My pattern has been pretty consistant. And I got my peak reading this morning!! Im so afraid to get my hopes up though. Que Sera Sera, what will be will be....

You mean the cheerleaders beside our bed?? hahaha
Not really exhibitionists, after all the hot tub gazebo IS enclosed, but I imagine if the neighbours were looking REALLY hard they might see something!
(Its set to 95degreesF. Like a luke warm bath, we dont want to hurt the swimmers!)

hmmm maybe TMI

The CBEFM and FF look for different things. The monitor will only tell you that your body is gearing up to O, it can't confirm that you did. The only way to confirm that you O'ed is by charting or getting your blood drawn. It's best to use the 2 together so you don't miss your surge.

I don't trust FF. I use it because it is convenient and I interpret it myself. I recently started using My Fertility Charts and so far I think I like the interpretation on it better, but I don't like the layout as much. I sure wish I could combine the two...lol
