So I went in for my follow up with the Dr today, and I didn't get the news I wanted.. My blood pressure looked great, and hey I have already lost some weight .. Well she said well you remember your numbers were 60 at the ER friday night and 52 Sat before the injections.. Well your numbers went up to 80 Tues... However we are not worried about it.. This next blood draw will be the one to determine for sure wether the methotrexate worked or not.. Well the problem is.... I was told that as long as I did the blood draw at thier office I would be billed for the blood work and I could submit the bills to medicaid when it gets approved.. Well they are sending me to the lab on a sat... I am praying that I don't have to pay out of pocket cause if I do it won't be happening.. Our finances are so tight this week I don't have extra cash floating around.. I know it is important but if I don't have the money I don't have it, and I don't know what else to do.. I just pray they can bill me since my insurance is pending still... Please pray cause this blood draw is kind of important..

I'm sorry Lindsey ...i'll keep praying for you...Also, I know our lab here offers a discount if you pay in cash right when you go in, but they don't demand you to pay if you don't have insurance, they will bill you...Seems like i'm always in the lab and I always listen to what's going on lol...Any way, I hope you get it worked out and your numbers go down next time (((Hugs)))

Lindsey...try to send a message to Lisa here on this board...she had the same exact thing happen with her partial molar. With the medications she was on her numbers would mysteriously pop up instead of down...it was really frustrating for her and it went on for months. I would try to talk to her and see what she finally did and how she finally got her numbers down to zero.....

I remember her story, and I believe it was methotrexate she was using too..... The Dr said she wasn't worried about this number it is tomorrow's blood draw that is what matters since that will be the 7 day mark since the injections.. If it is up tomorrow then we will take actions from there..

Also she thinks that my csection could be what is causing me to keep miscarrying.. She said that my scar tissue could be keeping the baby from implanting prooperly or that could be what is causing my eptopics or possible eptopics.. She said that after all this mess if medicaid allows it they want to do an HSG on me.

It's pretty typical for the numbers to raise before they start going down. Mine were in the thousands and had kept doubling before they started to lower..... Hang in there sweetie, it's all so scary and new to be going thru this right now.

I wasn't able to get more blood work.... I went to the office they were only open till 12pm.. I got there around 9am and they had wall to wall people... I couldn't believe it when I opened the door.. I went to sign in and the lady said they weren't taking any more people they had over a 3 hr wait.. I said unbelievable and walked out.. I am sure the Dr's gonna be pissed but I couldn't help it...

How frustrating! Well there is no way your doctor can try to blame that on you. I hope you can get your bw tomorrow and that your levels are on their way down.
