So I finally decided that this pain was ridiculous, and decided I might as well talk to my ob about it. (Well I planned on talking to his assistant, and then depending on her opinion if I should make an app or not.....) She said that everything I was describing sounded like Endo. (Pelvic pain, upper thigh pain, pain, pain, pain, the extra bleeding, the little bleeding, yadda yadda) So she made me an appointment for Wednesday. (I was kinda shocked. Usually when I need to make one, they aren't open for any for a week or two!) But they are gonna do an ultrasound, and a pelvic exam to see if any of the endo signs are there, and if not, what if could be or if I should just opt for the LAP anyway.
I'm not quite sure what to think, or do. I mean, I want this diagnosed but, at the same time if they do think it's endo do I want to opt for the LAP right away? (my insurance will cover it--if needed.)
I'm kind of nervous. But this is not normal for me. Not the extra pain, nor bleeding, nor irregularity since my loss (and I know that every pregnancy/loss can change your normal...BUT....) it just seems like if this is gonna be my new normal, I say well that sucks!
Any advice or suggestions girls?
*****************UPDATE******************
So he did an ultrasound, and found out that I have something in my fallopian tube. He thinks it's probably something that didn't get flushed out of my body from my loss. He said it explains the pain, the bleeding, everything.
So he put me on something to help break it down and try and get it out of my body. I take it for a week, and then in two weeks, I have to go see him again, and if it's still there then I have to go in and have another D&C. (Can you tell how excited I am?)
So, i'm hoping this works. Because another D&C will certainly put me waaay off track.
But it's a good thing I decided to go. Because he said that I could have gotten a bad infection had I not gone in.

Amy go to the appointment for sure, get checked out and diagnosed... hopefully it's not, but at the same time it would be GREAT to have it diagnosed and treated! So I say go for it... I went thru so much testing testing testing at the RE's office and as much as dreaded it I'm glad I did. Altho we never really found anything. It's good to have some peace in mind knowing a little more than before.

Hmm, well I'd say do it all but even if they don't see anything on the ultrasound, go for a lap too. Endo will not show on ultrasound. My uterus and ovaries look perfect on ultrasound. Picture perfect. But when my doc went in a few months ago everything was stuck to everything else. No signs in ultrasound at all. And the only sign during pelvic exam was slight pain when my ob did the exam. But an ultrasound can rule out cysts and fibroids. So I'd say do what you need to do to get to the bottom of your pain.

Amy I'm so glad that you are taking steps to find answers about your weird cycles and pain since your loss. I don't know much about endo, but I say go for all the tests you need to ease your mind. Good luck!

Yeah, i'm glad too. His M/A is really awesome and sweet, and she made me feel at ease about calling, and being worried, and that it wasn't something I shouldn't be concerned about. Half the time I prefer to talk to her over my OB!

Amy, I'm sorry that they found something on the ultrasound, but I'm glad you got in to see your doctor before you ended up with an infection. Nothing ever seems to go as smoothly as we hope, huh?
Did your doctor explain how a D&C would help get rid of something in your fallopian tube?

No, not really. He said we'd talk about it then, if I still needed it. I'm just glad that its more than likely not endo like they all thought, and what it is--in comparison to a lot of things is quite simple to fix.

I was wondering that same thing about the D&C. I hope that the meds work for you. Good luck!

Yeah he's pretty, sure the meds should work, I think he mentioned about them possibly pushing them in the right place, or something or other. Again, his MA was more informative, and less rushed then he was. (He's not a bad doc or anything.....)but she makes me wanna stay with this ob.

I'm sorry, i'm posting again girls, but i'm kinda sad. Does my tube being blocked mean that my chances of getting preggo this cycle is nill? I mean I already had one useless D&C, and if I have to have another then, well I don't know. My OB did a D&C before he knew it was ectopic, but wouldn't most OB's check for things like that? I mean the first ultrasound I had, I didn't even have a full bladder (which I know you need to have if you even dream of seeing your baby early on the ultrasound, even trans-vaginally....) When I asked him about this, he simply told me I was skinny enough that he could see everything just fine. He found my uterus, (and said that there was A LOT of tissue that didn't belong in there) but it wasn't until after the D&C that he said it was ectopic. So could he be wrong again? I didn't have a full bladder when he looked at me again this time. I really like my OB, but sometimes I think he is just going from experience, and not utter sure-ness. Arrrg!

First, unless both tubes are completely blocked, you have a chance this cycle. And I may be wrong, but I think the only really way to assess whether a tube is blocked is by HSG, not u/s. I think you have hope for this cycle
About your OB, I think if you are having doubts, you should get a second opinion. I would think that before doing a D&C, an OB would get a clear view of an intrauterine pg, but I don't know all the details of your loss. But most importantly, you should do what you need to so that you feel comfortable with your treatment plan. Hugs.
