Hi Erin and welcome to TTCAL,
I understand your feelings of wanting to have it over with, think when we're knowing that we're losing our babies just getting it all over with is what is something that really eats at us... we're already grieving, deeply devastated that the physical part of it that just seems to linger or drag on (spotting, bleeding, cramping) we just want it done with.
I personally have only had natural or medically induced with medications/chemo, so all I've known is going thru the process as my body handles it. It can be painful when the body is in the midst of the "mini labor" but then it eases us to intense menstrul cramps... I've also had an ectopic loss which was extremely painful, so my other 3 losses seem allot less painful than that one. My perinatologists, OB's all leaned towards natural process because of the fact we were TTC and it wouldn't hinder my fertility like a D&C/D&E would as they explained it to me. This coming from 2 different offices & Dr's... so sometimes I guess it's a personal choice and a decision to discuss with your doctor(s) because they know what's going on best and provide you with the right information reguarding your personal situation.
I hope we can all share a little and help with your questions
again welcome to ttcal!
