How self centered of them! You must have been spitting mad!! Unbelievable how some people are! Crazy. And really, I dont know about where you are, but I know here, getting a surgery date is labourous to say the least. Its not like being able to call and being able to switch it lickity split. And really, do they think their time is more valuable than yours, the Drs, the hospital ... etc?? Crazy.

No kidding right...
and if they thought that I should have the surgery later, they would have scheduled it then.

After I got done venting on here, I actually called my Dr's office back and told them not to work to hard on changing the date. The lady laughed and said no problem.
Grr...the nerve of people.

Haha, that's great, this way you can say "oh I'm SO sorry, I TRIED, but the doctors just couldn't do it!..." How ridiculous of your manager. Clearly somebody who has never had to schedule a surgery...

Seriously?????
WOW, good for you to tell the doctor's office not to try hard on it. That's just ridiculous, glad you are uncooperative.

F that... I wouldn't have asked to change anything I would just have said it was the only date possible, the end.

That is absolutely ridiculous!

That's outrageous. See, I made the mistake of putting work first before. It never works out. Family first, health first, PEOPLE! first... A lot of places see you as a piece of equipment and not flesh and blood... If you don't take care of you, no one will...

Yoyo, I have to have fibroids removed. Some of them have "died" in there so the dead tissue is attached/in my uterus.

You wanna hear the funny part???? I work in medicine, at a DR's office....you'd think they'd be understanding.

Now the doctor that I work for was concerned about me and told me to do whatever I have to do.

I would tell them off. Seriously, how inconsiderate. My DH used to work in Health Care, he said they are the worst at helping people when they have medical needs. I'm glad your Dr isn't working too hard to change anything.

Michelle, Jobs come and go but your health and family are the most important thing. I worked really hard when I was young and made sacrifices for work and have huge regrets.

Tell them to kiss your A@@ and find another job. It is sad that they don't value you. ((Hugs))

Love you!

Ok, really? Seriously? I'm sorry I keep saying this, but OMG, what the F is her problem? You say he had fertility issues, does she have any kids? I'm wonder if she's jealous that you will have the change to get pg and she doesn't.

Ya she has 2 kids. She's just evil. Someone's dad here got rushed into surgery two weeks ago, they found his bowels were riddled with cancerous tumors and had to get them out. When the woman told her she was leaving for the day for the hospital the manager actually asked her if she really needed to go. and then said, it's not like you are close to your dad.!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

WOW! Yeah ok, she's a B. She sounds bitter.
What kind of work do you do? I know you said you work in a medical office.

OMG! And this woman is in healthcare?!?!?!? I also work for a doctor and I think I would be finding another job if they did that to me here. I dont think I could or even want to work for someone so heartless. Is this what the world is coming too now?!?!?!

Im sorry you are having to go thru this Michelle. I agree with others and would not work to hard in getting the date changed. Im wondering if anything laws under the FMLA could be played here.
