Where to start. I am going to warn you all now that this may be long!

I am just going to start with my cycles.
12/16-2/19 (after m/c) bled and spotted for 65 days
2/19-3/17 26 day cycle. (had D&C 2/19)
3/17-4/20 34 day cycle
4/20 -5/21 31 day cycle
5/21-6/20 30 day cycle
6/20-7/16 26 day cycle
7/16-8/10 25 day cycle
8/10-9/3 24 day cycle

I started my cycle on 9/3. As you can see my cycles have been crazy. I used to have a regular 28 day cycle before my m/c. Now I have no idea. DH and I dtd this morning and did not use protection or pull out method. I started thinking on my way to work that last month I probably O'ed on cycle day 10 or so b/c of my 24 day cycle. That means that I could O in like 3 days. Do you ladies think I might be pregnant?

I about made myself sick this morning thinking about it. My edd last time was 6/5 and we conceived 9/12. We dtd today 9/10 and my cycle hasn't been 28 days! That should put my edd at 6/6 or so. Do you think I will be safe if I have a 25 or 26 day cycle this time?

I do want to get pg. Part of me wants to be and part doesn't (health issue). I think the thing that made me so sick to my stomach today is knowing the edd would only be 1 or 2 days off.

What do you ladies think? I am somewhat freaking out here. I almost have a gut feeling that I will get pg.

Oh ya, I forgot to mention that I haven't been temping b/c my dog chewed up my thermometer. Go figure! I did buy a new one though. Do you think it will show if I O if I start taking it in the morning?

Well Lisa if you do ovulate in 3 days... and your mans swimers are strong enough to live 3 days... You have that chance. It only takes one swimmer!!!!

As for temping.. it might show your spike.. If your using FF I am not sure it will give you crosshairs.. But You should be able to see the spike...

HUGS..

Lisa, it is possible if you O in the next couple of days that you could get pregnant, but unfortunately you'll just have to wait and see when you O or when you get/don't get AF. If I were you, I would probably try temping and see if I could detect a temp rise. Do you know your usual coverline? Or do you have any OPKs lying around that you could use to check for O over the next few days?

I totally understand the worries, but whatever happens, happens, and you will make it through After what you've been through, you can handle anything!

I will try it and see what happens. Do you think I should use OPK? I will be getting blood work done on the 20 or 21st so I guess I will know more then. That should put me at 9-11 dpo if I do get pg.

When is the best time to use the O test? I have never used them before. Also I am having to get up at 5:30 instead of 7:00. Wouldn't my temps be different than the previous months?

Lisa.. You can use the OPK's... just remember... Your last blood draw was 7/5.. Have you had any more blood draws since then? I just bring this up since it could happen.. I hope not.. but.. The OPK's pick up HCG.... So if your numbers did go up, It will show a false +. Do you have any cheapy HPT's that you could take just to make sure your levels are still negative?

Sorry to bring this up... I know how long and hard of a road you have had. I just want you to cover all bases.. than when you get blood drawn if it is a BFP you will know for sure.. HUGS

Late afternoon early evening it the best time to use OPKs... As for temping as long as you get the 4 hour sleep.. it really dosen't make much different.. I worked nights.. and temped all different times.. I ALWAYS got crosshairs.. and showed Ovulation that were consistant with my OPKS and U/S's..

Kary, I just had my levels checked on 8/24 and it was still less than 1. I need to update my signature. (bad me) I am on monthly draws now. I also just got off AF on Monday.

My cover lined depended on the Month... was the air on, heat on, But my temp shift always showed Ovulation.

Than you are good to go with the OPK's If you are using FF and you use the OPK's.. you can go ahead and override the temps.. IF it doesn't give you crosshairs.. I would go a head and start temping.

OPK was clearly negative. I had a faint line though. How many days does it usually take once you have a faint line?

Katie- In a way I am too! The more I think about it I want to be. (since I posted this thread) One good thing is I don't have to waste money on hpt b/c I am getting bw done anyways.

I have no idea where my cord is for my camera. I have the picture but don't have my cord to transfer it to the computer. Oh well. I think it is blurry anyways.

Kinda mad. I set my alarm this morning and took my temp. I remember hearing it beep and everything. I glanced at it and set it down. I think it said 97.3. I checked it this morning after I woke up and it doesn't show my temp. I went ahead and recorded what I thought it said. I guess it is a sign that I shouldn't be checking it maybe. LOL

Well, I guess I am taking it back. It says on the box: memory displays last temperature taken. I just took my temp and it said 97.03 and it didn't display it.

I have my monthly blood work coming up on 9/20 or 21st. I decided to go ahead and do it the 21st b/c I should be on cd19 by then.

I am guessing I should O on cd10-12 which would be 9/12-9/14. We dtd on 9/10 in the am. I checked my charts when I did temp. June: I had a 26 day cycle and O on day 12. July: I had a 25 day cycle and still O on day 12. I didn't temp every single day so that could be off a little.

If I O on

cd10 (12th) on the 21st I should be 9dpo 2 days since dtd
cd11 (13th) " " 8dpo 3 days since dtd
cd12 (14th) " " 7dpo 4 days since dtd

If I O on cd 12, I think my chances will be very very slim at getting pg.

How soon will the hcg show up in the blood work? I have been <1 the last few blood draws. I am thinking it will show something greater than 1 if I do end up pg even if it is only 7-9dpo.. Right??? If it does my oncologist and OBGYN will probably freak!

I need to stop thinking about this so darn much.

Thanks. No I didn't. Now it works and I already took it over so I still don't know what my temp was this morning. My other thermometer I didn't have to hold down the button.

I used another OPK this morning and it was lighter than last nights. Is that normal?

Lisa, my OPKs go up and down, up and down. One month (pre-ectopic) I took them once a day at 5:00 for CD10-24, never caught my surge at all, and gave up. Then I started using them last cycle since I need to know my O date to know when to early pg test, since I'm scared of another ectopic. I took them 2x/day (11-noonish and 5-6ish) starting CD8. When I finally caught my surge last cycle (CD16), it was at 12:30 pm, and then I took one at 4 pm that was not a clear positive (lines exactly the same color). The previous day I had gotten almost a complete blank after a few days of slowly darkening lines. I have a series of frustrated posts (and finally a single triumphant one) in the 2WW to O thread as evidence.

ALL over the place... the LH is a funny beast... I think it's pretty easy to miss the surge with OPKs if you have a brief surge at a slightly unusual time of day (like me). Now that I know my peak is like midday/early afternoon, it should be easier for me, but I had no idea before. I hope you have better luck than I!!!!!!
