I just got a call from my doctor's office about the bloodwork I had done on Friday. It turns out that I am hypothyroid, and that I have high levels of prolactin
I have to go in today to repeat the bloodwork (with some additional tests). If today's test also shows high TSH, then I will start Synthroid. And if it continues to show high prolactin levels, I will need an MRI to look for a pituitary tumor (which they say is always benign). Then I would need to be treated with bromocriptine to reduce the prolactin levels. And until we know if I need the MRI, they don't want me to start Clomid for this cycle
Crap.

I'm sorry you are going through all of this, but on the bright side it looks like your getting some useful results from your testing. I don't know a lot about tsh or prolactin, but i believe that both of those problems can be fixed pretty efficiently. I really wish you all the best and hope this turns out to be an answer that you need. Good luck and god bless... =)

I am sorry... I know you were looking forward to the clomid. How much longer will the testing take? I hope it is a super easy fix and you don't even end up needing the clomid, how cool would that be?!

I'm sorry you are on hold, maybe it won't be for too long and you will get that BFP very soon. Hang in there.

Thanks, girls. I know that this is really a good thing. I am just feeling poopy today And actually, it's surprising, but I prefer feeling poopy to the anger I've had recently. Hopefully I can take care of these two problems. Just hoping that we don't find any more issues with the rest of our testing this month.

This sounds annoying in the short term, but very promising in the long term, Nicole!!! I really hope that addressing these imbalances is just what you need to get your sticky bean... keep us posted, I'll be thinking of you, good luck!

Nicole, Being on hold, I agree with pp. Its hard in the short term, but it could be exactly what you needed to find out to grab hold of a sticky bfp!! And not only that but hypothyroid can be the cause of how youve been feeling emotionally! Wouldnt that be a blessing? To feel good again. I think it is good news hun. Terrible that its there, but good that you have found out. Good luck, I hope they can deal with it quickly for you. ~hugs~

Thanks, ladies
You are all so right- I am lucky to have found these problems and that they are relatively easy to treat. Hopefully the meds will get them both under control for my next cycle.
I just really hate that waiting one cycle for me means waiting not until October, but until November. And that by waiting one cycle, I am going from TTC a May baby to TTC an August baby
Now I have to try to convince them to squeeze me in for an HSG this cycle because apparently they are overbooked, and I don't want any more reasons for waiting.
Tobi, if only I could blame all my emotional craziness on this
Thanks for the support, girls. I would go absolutely psycho without being able to vent to all of you

You might be surprised. I'm hypothyroid, and when my levels are off, I get pretty crazy, bouncing everywhere. My last check came back low, and I was actually relieved because it was a fairly easy fix and I started feeling better within just a couple days (although now I've plateaued, so I don't know what my next check will say, if my new dose was enough...*sigh*)
Hopefully I can get all my dental stuff done in the same time period and we can be buddies!
 Good luck.
