I have been fighting back tears all day. Today we learned that hubby has a low count (6 million) and poor motility. We are meeting with a urologist on Tuesday, and hope to get an apt with the RE soon after. We cant afford IVF right now (hubby is a student) so I am not sure what our opinions are. I am shocked because we got pregnant on our own very quickly after my surgery.

I am tired of getitng kicked when i'm already down. Dont we have enough problems?

Life sucks sometimes.

I have lost all faith in the big man upstairs.

I'm so sorry I don't know much about male factor infertility, but I have heard that one analysis can be misleading, and that a diagnosis of low count or low motility should be based on 2 or 3 samples. I hope that the urologist and RE have some reassuring news.

It must be scary and awful to get those numbers, and I wish so much that you weren't going through this.

Karen - My RE has shown some positive results with sperm counts of 4 million with an IUI.

A lot of us did not have any money for medical care but found a way. Some have done fund raising, some garage sales, and like me I took out a loan.

I know how heartbreaking it is but try your best to keep your chin up!

Aww sweetie. I don't know much about infertility but I would think that if you got pg before, then it can happen again. It only takes one of those 6million. Don't give up hope. I hope the appt on Tues goes well and it's nothing like you think it is.

It's hard... one bad thing after another...

But your DH... how careful is he to avoid all the things that hurt spermies? (Tight underwear, hot tubs, LAPTOPS over the crotch, etc) It could be that he had been doing some of that stuff just before this test. Also he can try taking vitamins and stuff. Maybe he can try to avoid all those things for a few weeks and then get tested again??

I'm sorry to be stupid if he's already up on all this, but if he isn't, I think it can make a difference!!
