Hey girls

Im new here but have been lurking fora few weeks now. SO long story short had a m/c a few weeks ago. Started bleeding so I thought it would happen naturally but guess it kinda did but took cytotec a few doses ( didnt' work) go figure right? So they had me scheduled for a d n c but they did an ultrasound the day before and they couldnt see the little bean anymore and that there was clots and blood near my cervix. The dr said it was not nessessary for a d n c and that i should pass whats left with my next period? That is what i dont understand. I still am spotting a little. but when should i expect my next period? and has that ever happened to any of you before. I guess what i dont understand am I gonna ovulate then get my period in 4 weeks or whatever? im so lost . I just want my period to hurry up and come so i can flush everthing out so I can start to ttc again !. sorry but had to vent lots of emotions flying through me right now. thanks guys and any advice or comments you have are welcome.

First and foremost I'm so sorry to hear about your loss very devastating! You've come to the right place where the ladies are very compassionate, helpful and super friendly. You'll feel at home with all of our lovely ladies and hope the positivity lifts you back up some.

As far as your questions... you'll probably spot/bleed for weeks. How far along were you? You may start bleeding again to pass those clots before af shows... if you spike a fever dont hesitate to go to the ER. Watch signs of infection.

You may or may not ovulate before getting your first af, your body has to go to completely zero hcg before it will ovulate since you don't while pg. Then af will show, you don't always have to ovulate to get an af either.

As for your question I just had my last M/C Aug 13th 2010.. From 8-13 till the day I got my period 9-11 it was a 28 day cycle.. I had signs that I was going to O, but wasn't temping or using opk's so I don't know for sure if I did or not, but I did get my first AF 28 days after the first bleed.. Hang in there hun.

thanks guys this is just all fustrating. i was 8 weeks along but baby measured 6 weeks and 6 days with no heart beat anymore that was very hard especially since i have mthfr and was taking all my shots and meds like i did for my previous pregnancy and got my lil boy who will be 2 in dec. but things happen this i know but its just been a ruff road. and want everything to just come out already with my AF and start the journey all over ya know... thanks for all the support you ladies really are the best at understanding

MAJOR HUGS to you for your devastating loss.
From what my doc told me yesterday, after a m/c, you do start a new cycle and get your period after a few weeks (3.5 weeks for me since my m/c). You MAY ovulate. I think I am going to because I had a natural m/c with 7 heavy days of bleeding and 3-4 days of spotting. If you chart your bbt, high temps are evidence of your hormone levels being off. My doc ordered a blood test for hcg to see.

I know the bleeding is the worst. I couldn't wait for it to end. I am hoping you get your fresh start soon!
