So today, I was sitting on the couch with DD, and she was talking to me and out of the blue she tells me "Mom you have to get a baby in your tummy, so I can play with them. You need to make em bigger, and stronger. I want a baby"

I nearly burst into tears. I didn't know what to say. I know a lot of this comes from having a baby brother over at her dads house, but it still broke my heart.

Sorry, this was so random, I didn't know who else to cry too.....

Aww so sweet and so sad. Its hard when they don't understand.
My 4yo did that the other day. He saw a baby and said mommy you have a baby in your tummy. I said no sweetie. He was like oh , ok.

Yeah. I'm confident that when I do get pg, she will be a great older sister.

I know what you mean, that the innocence of a child can hurt.

My niece Kelsey just turned 3 and DH and I were saying our goodbyes to my sister, and she asked me, "Are you going home to your baby now?"
