I haven't been around here for awhile..I had my d&c on September 2nd and that went well. I got the lab results back and it definitely was a molar(tissue from uterus was non-cancerous though!). My hcg is down to 54 as of last Tuesday. I only bled for about 5 days after the surgery, but the past couple days I've had what feels like the light cramping before a period and today I started a red light flow... I'm really confused as to what could be going on. Your hcg needs to be zero to ovulate, right? So this couldn't be my period? I can't call my doctor til monday and the ER docs are completely inept around here. Just wanted to see if you ladies had any ideas? thanks.

I bled for a very long time, but I had complications. I had an infection and whatnot. It took 40 days after I was done bleeding to have my first real cycle.

I m/c naturally w/ heavy RED blood and big clots for 6 days and brownish/red light spotting for 3-4. Then that was it. My doc said to expect my period in two weeks after the m/c. So, it's been like 20 days for you right? Maybe it is your period? If you have any walk-in emergency care clinics, (not ERs but not doc offices either), maybe that would help you get answers. I know they do u/s.

You don't have to be negative to get AF. I got my first AF when I was around 50 or so (I believe). If you stopped bleeding for about 3 weeks it should be AF. After I had my D&C, 2 months after I was induced, I bled for a few days and had AF like 27 days after my D&C so yours sounds about right.

Your number sounds great considering you just had your D&C Sept 2nd. Has you dr. said anything about a wait time or anything like that yet? There is research that if you fall negative within like 7 weeks that you only have to wait 3 months and some drs. only make you wait about 3 weeks.

Good luck and I hope you are negative at your next blood draw!

Thank you all so much. I feel much better knowing it's a possibility it could be AF!

Thank you :] He said a year for a wait time :/ If I'm negative at my next blood draw though, and the numbers stay down, I might see if I can talk to him about it in a few months. Thank you so much for the reassurance btw, knowing that it's possible for af to come without being at zero makes me worry much less.

No problem. A lot of the other ladies that I have talked to that had a mp got af before they hit negative! If you start bleeding really heavy or pass clots bigger than a half dollar you need to call you dr. Other than that you should be fine. Since this is your first AF you will probably have a pretty good drop next round of bw. Also as your number gets lower, you won't have as big of drops as you have had in the past! Don't worry if that is the case!

Are you getting your bw drawn every week?

(I sent you a msg )

Yes! Thank you so much for that link. I'll definitely be joining and becoming a part of that community.(I tried to reply but don't know if it went through or not).
And yes, he wants them weekly until I reach zero, and then monthly after that. I have my next one on Tuesday.
Thank you so much for your insight btw. It's nice to talk to someone who's gone through this before.
