How to determine cycle after loss?

I just m/c last week and though we're not going to TTC for several months now, I wondered if there is a way that I can determine when I'll start my next AF. Do I count from the day I started spotting with my m/c, or when I started heavily bleeding? Any help would be appreciated

I'm sorry for your loss.. I think we were in the May DDC together.

I'm back here too..

How long were you spotting? I would count from the first day of actual flow rather than spotting, just like I would with a regular cycle.

Agree, the day that you start bleeding, actually flow.

I would also start from the day of real flow, but just remember that your first few cycles post loss can be a little off. Your next period may come later than you expect, you may have symptoms that you don't normally have, and you may have more cramping or heavier bleeding with your next period.

I'm sorry about your loss honey!

Like your AF, count CD1 as the first day of heavy bleeding not spotting. That is what the doc/rn's told me.

It was a hard question for me to ask because it seems odd to think about cycles when I just m/c, you know? I guess it's a sign that life goes on. I knew you ladies would understand.

There have been several in that DDC lately, it seems. I spotted for about 3 days. I'll start from the actual flow day. I appreciate the info and best of luck to you!

I'm sorry for your loss.
I think for some it's natural to want to start ttc right away after a mc. It was for me. It at least made me feel like I was doing something. My first cycle was really long if I went from the first day of bleeding. I used OPKs though and knew when I O'd and AF came 14 days later. My cycles have been long since then so they can change.
