I have a D&C scheduled for tomorrow and plan to start trying again once I have my first period. I am 7 weeks 3 days today and have a sac that is empty and not growing. I honestly cannot wait to get this over with and move forward. I just hate having symptoms knowing that there is no reason for them!
This is my first m/c so I am pretty nervous about tomorrow.

Lisa, I'm so sorry for your loss. I honestly was like you once I found out there was no h/b I just wanted to get it over with, to me I couldn't handle it.
Things will be ok tomorrow, they just put you down for the procedure, the whole thing takes 3-4 hrs, mine took 5 hrs. Expect to bleed anymore from a couple of days to weeks. They will give something for the cramps.
The girls here are great, very supportive. If you have any question about the d&c I know that many of us can answer you.

Sending you many many hugs!

I am sorry for your loss. I got a D&C the day after I found out the heartbeat had stopped, I was ready to get it over with too. The ladies here are great when you want to vent or have questions!

Aww Lisa I'm so sorry for your loss. I was really hoping it was just a scare
I haven't had a D&C - I opted for cytotec instead.

Hi Lisa, I just posted my condolences over in the DDC. Good luck tomorrow - you'll be fine!! I've never had a D&C, but my bleeding from my natural m/c (which started one week ago with spotting) is down to practically nothing now. Hopefully yours will only be about a week too. KUP with your progress - this board is really wonderful and supportive.

I'm so sorry for your loss. I just had a d&c for the first time last Tuesday (I m/c naturally the first 2 times) and it wasn't nearly as bad as I thought it would be. They put you to sleep, and you'll remember next to nothing about the whole thing. I hope everything goes well for you tomorrow. Great big !

Lisa -- regarding charting, have you signed up for fertilityfriend.com or tcoyf.com?

No, I am so new at this. I hadn't heard of those sites. I will be definitely checking them out - thank you
Had the D&C and it was pretty bad. I was not put under, only a local anesthetic to numb the cervix. I certainly do not want to do that again!!

I'm sorry your D&C was bad, and that you only had a local anesthetic! Hopefully you won't have to worry about it at all again, period!
I'm only about two months into charting; it sounds like I was like you..... I got pregnant and decided to start charting after my miscarriage. (I was NTNP prior to that). fertilityfriend seems to be the most popular website to use. The basic website is free, and you get the premium website free for a period of time so you can try it. They have charting lessons that they can send to your email, FAQs, and I think you can print off a handbook for charting.
A lot of ladies on these boards suggested getting the book "Taking Charge of Your Fertility" to help learn charting also . I picked mine up from Half Price Books, and found it very useful. I never pursued any other books on charting, so I honestly don't know if this one is better/worse than other fertility/charting books out there. I personally think that Taking Charge of Your Fertility has some flaws -- the examples seem cliche -- but it's a great reference either way.
The book has its own software that can help you chart, and a trial CD is included in the book. It now has an online version of their charting software, at tcoyf.com. When I signed up for it, it was during a beta version of the website and I got to sign up for free. (I think eventually they will charge to use the website as well) I got an email recently that because I was a beta user, I get to be a premium member for 3 years for FREE. I don't know if they are still in the free beta testing.
I enter my info on both websites, and I think I like FF better... FF has a lot of features that while neat, are not really needed... But I still find the website easier to navigate and use than tcoyf.... tcoyf has some quirks.
Good luck! I lurk on the Fertility Charting board too... there are a couple ladies on there that are VERY well versed in charting and are always able to answer questions!

I recommend signing up for fertilityfriend.com. When you sign up they will send you lessons on how to do it. You can also ask me anything, I've been doing it for 10 months now (blech that's depressing).. Also there's a fertility charting board on here that has good resources and you can ask questions there too.
I'm sorry your D&C was bad..

I am so sorry Lisa....I know how you feel. I too am waiting for a d&c...and I am sorry that yours went badly. Talk about salt in an open wound. I will luckily be put under due to the fact that I am so far along. I am not looking forward to it. I hope things go well for you soon and that you get out of here and into a new ddc soon....
