I've been holding off on POAS since my d&c, and I finally gave in tonight (12 days later). I guess since everything was done in one day I figured that my levels would drop quickly. I still got 2 positives tonight on ICs. They weren't really dark or anything, but darker than I thought they would be at this point. I don't know why I'm so surprised. I made it to 11 weeks and needed the d&c because my body just wasn't giving up. What would make me think that this was going to be any different? But still it was kinda like a kick in the stomach. I'm hoping that my levels will get down to 0 soon so we can get this show on the road.

I am sorry. I know how painful it can be when you aren't negative yet. I hope you reach negative soon.

It is super hard !! I tested everyday after my 1st D&C..( I needed 2) each time I could see a positive I cried.. It took mine about 25 ish days to go to negative.. and then when it was finally stark white,I was happy in a way but I cried because it was not positive anymore... It will get better.. but until then big hugs !!

So sorry you were disappointed in the testing. Although I can say it is entirely normal to still have levels a couple weeks out, especially as you were further along when you had the D & C (even a couple weeks makes a huge difference). We had our D & C at almost 12 weeks (three weeks after finding the preg was not progressing) and it took me about three weeks to stop bleeding and a week before I was negative. It is very, very hard to have that brutal reminder of what was.

I am so sorry, Lori. It took my HCG forever (11 weeks) to go down to negative after my loss, and I wanted to just pull all my hair out. But if you have a light line already, my fingers are crossed that you only need another week or two. Hugs, Lori

I'm curious as to what my levels will be, but think I'll try to hold off for a few weeks before testing.

i'm sorry ...I was 15 weeks into my 2nd pregnancy loss, and it took awhile for the tests to come up negative...I think it was like 5 weeks or so, which I guess isn't that long...I hope they go negative soon...The waiting is the hard part (((Hugs)))
