Hi! I'm Rachael! . My husband and I were TTC our second. I got a BFP on June 20th. On July 13th, I miscarried. This was very hard since my husband and I were extremely excited. A week after my D & C i was informed I had a partial molar pregnancy and that I would have to wait 6 months to 1 yr. A month later I meet with the dr that did my D & C and she informed me that she does not think i had a "true" partial molar pregnancy bc my HCG levels were 44,000 after the miscarriage and went down to zero in 5 weeks (which is a short time). The doctor would like for us to wait 6 months, but we are considering trying in November.

When I got pregnant this last time it was immediately after quitting BC. I did not have a full cycle afterward and have heard that sometimes that can cause miscarriages. Has anyone heard this before?

Therefore I am quitting my BC this month and will have a full cycle without it. Well thank you for listening and I am open to anyone's experiences with molar pregnancy and getting pregnant before the 6 month time frame.

I'm sorry for your loss and welcome.
I don't know much about molar pregnancies except that the HCG usually continues to rise or stays up for a long time after. I also heard they make you wait a year to ttc. I would think if your HCG is 0, that it wasn't molar.
I do know about the birth control though. It doesn't cause miscarriages. I was taking birth control while pregnant (didn't know) and everything turned out fine. It's just a luck of the draw.
I'm sorry you are joining us here but this is a great group of ladies. Good luck with TTC. I hope you aren't here long.

I will have to post more later. I m/c on 12/16/09 due to a partial molar at 15w4d. I am a member on another board and there has been several women that started trying sooner that didn't go through chemo. Some of the women that fell negative in less than 7 weeks their dr. only had them wait for 3 months. There is research to back that up.

I had to go through chemo (methotrexate and act-d) and it took me 6 1/2 months to reach negative. I was originally induced and then had a d&c two months later.

I just recently found out that I am pregnant. I have only been negative for about 3 months. I am only 4w6d along so I am not sure how everything is really going yet. I was told to wait 1 year from my diagnosis date which would either be 12/16/09 (day I m/c) or in Jan. when I found out it was a partial molar.
