Im having my HSG. And the nurse told me to be sure to take some advil before I go. So that worried me. Then I asked some of our JM ladies. And got the full range. Some didnt feel a thing and others had pain and cramping. So what do I do? Google. BAD IDEA.
I found a video of a women talking about her experience, so I sent it to my dbf. Told him that hes going to owe me huge.
I dont wanna go!!!
** Update:
Ok so it really wasn't bad, the only part that hurt was when he put the dye in. Actually it was a cramping feeling, my hand got in the xray lol cause I was like, Oh thats not nice! and reached down to hold my tummy. OOps!
Anyways, everything looks good, no blockages. The only thing was that my cervix is a little enlarged. He said its because Ive already had children, so Im guessing thats not going to be an issue.
So on to the next step, another ultrasound and bloodwork on saturday. Cant wait to see how the follie is!

Ah Tobi, I bet it'll be fine and you'll get great results. If all you need is advil it must not be any worse than menstrual cramps. Good luck! We'll be awaiting your results.

Tobi - I had one done about 6 months ago. I have a 0 pain tolerance and it wasn't all that bad. I screamed out fast at one point but if I had to do it all over again I would. Call your doctor and ask for stronger pain meds before you go. Demand them, be in control of your care.
It was all over in less than 30 minutes and trust me YOU DO WANT TO GO! It is part of the process of finding out if anything is wrong so the doctors can help you get pregnant.

Tobi, like I said the other night, for me it only hurt for about 30 seconds. I didn't have any pain or cramping afterwards... and it was definitely worth it. You are strong enough to make it through!!!!
