I had my d&c last Friday and am now suffering from bad night sweats. It happened the last two nights. I wake up soaked in sweat, gross, but I am shivering cold. Is this just due to hormones going back to normal? Has anyone experienced this? Is it any indication on when my period will come?

Thanks...

I never had them after any of my D&C but it could be how your body is reacting. Everyone has different responses. Hugs! If you are worried about it I suggest calling your doctor. It never hurts just to ask

I am sorry for your loss I had that happen after my first m/c and the doctor said it was just hormones I freaked out when I woke in the middle of winter wet from sweat. Everyone is different it took 5-6 weeks for my period to return. Take care xx

Thanks for replying!

I forgot to mention that when I had DD I got these very same night sweats after she was born. I am going to assume that it's hormones returning to normal because that was the cause back then.

I always have that happen after I give birth, and the same thing happened after my D&C too...Actually it happened after my miscarriage also, just not as bad as after my D&C...I think it lasted like 5 nights before it stopped.

I am getting hot flashes and night sweats. So no worries. I think it is the hormones too.

I used to get them often, but I honestly can't say when it was, since I don't remember.

Just wanted to chime in with the others - I think it is the hormones as well. After my m/c last week, I had two nights of HORRIBLE night sweats and trouble sleeping. My spotting stopped on Friday and everything seems to be "back to normal" since then for me. From what I've heard and read (and I have a dr. appt. today, so I plan on asking her this too), you can expect a period within 4 - 6 weeks from when the bleeding stops.
Hope you are doing as well as can be!

Thanks everyone! Hopefully the sweats will go away soon. It is painful waking up that cold!!

My bleeding stopped the day after so maybe I'll be lucky and get AF early.
