Still here!
Name: Amy
Age: 23
My Journey: Dh (Rodney) and I have been ttc since June of 09. We finally did it in March 2010. Only to find out it was an ectopic pregnancy. I had a few shots of methotrexate, and some really bad side effects, and here I still am.
I have longer cycles then before, an aching heart, and baby fever like no other. I'm really wanting my rainbow baby, and I love this forum. It is the best I have ever been too, and if/when I get my rainbow baby I'm still going to be here. I love these ladies, and can't wait to get to know everyone better.

and a little about your journey here!
I've been married to my DH for almost 11 years (October 16th)...We have 4 children, Molly-11, Chloe 10 in 2 days, Allison-7, and Jack 4...We thought we were done having children, till around March 2008 when I really got the itch to have one more...I wanted a brother for my son...DH wasn't on board, and honestly the next year I was hoping for an "oops" since that's how we got pregnant with my son...In around March 2009 he agreed to have one more baby...I got pregnant on my 3rd cycle trying in June 2009...While pregnant I found out I had thyroid cancer and would have to have surgery...So September 23, 2009 at 19 weeks 3 days pregnant I had surgery and had my thyroid removed...2 weeks later I went in for a routine prenatal check-up (october 7, 2009 1 year ago today) only to find out my baby girl no longer was alive...She was bornstill October 14, 2009...I wanted to have another baby so we pretty much started to try right away...I found out in Jan 2010 I was pregnant again...On April 2nd I went in for another routine check-up at almost 15 weeks pregnant and learned my baby didn't have a heartbeat...I had a D&C on April 6th...Things didn't go well after my D&C and I hemorrhaged and ended up in the hospital on May 8th (mothers day weekend)...I had to have anoter D&C and 2 blood transfusions...I got pregnant a month later to my surprise (we were trying, i just didn't think it would happen that fast)...I had an ultrasound in July at 7 weeks 1 day along in my pregnancy...It showed a healthy baby with a heartbeat!!! The next day I started bleeding really bad and went to the ER...I had a bleed behind my placenta....So the next 2 weeks I was on bedrest and scared out of my mind (I never stopped bleeding)...on August 3rd at exactly 9 weeks into my pregnancy I had a miscarriage at home...It was really tramatic on me...I found out that I have something wrong with an artery in my uterus, probably caused by my D&C in April and that's what caused me to hemorrhage...the same thing happend after my last miscarriage too...This time it healed on it's own thank god...I was told if I had surgery to fix this problem that I wouldn't be able to have any more children...I also had a positive test for lupus anticoagulant (clotting disorder), so hopefully that was the cause of my last 2 miscarriages...I'm getting re-tested in like 3 weeks!!!...That was not the cause of Ella's death almost a year ago, her's was caused by her cord...So that's my story in a nutshell...Honestly, I never thought this would happen to me...I thought pregnancy loss only happened to other people...I always had normal healthy pregnancy's...It's so weird to think that just a little over a year ago, I was pregnant with not a worry in the world...Now I don't think I will ever enjoy another pregnancy...It's going to be a constant fear.
sorry for my book lol

Our Journey: We started TTC our first child in April 2009. We had one loss, a missed miscarriage discovered at 12 weeks, in September 2009. We've had no luck in the year since our loss, and I have been dealing with long cycles, a hypothyroid diagnosis, and a clotting disorder diagnosis. This is our first Clomid cycle, and we're just hoping that we can get pregnant and that I can carry a baby to term so we can start our family

DH and I have been married for a little over 2 years. We started TTC #1 in April of this year and got a BFP on cycle 5. 2 weeks ago (almost 7 weeks into the pregnancy), I started spotting and passing some small clots, so we went to the ER. On the ultrasound, we saw a healthy baby with a heartbeat and were told that the bleeding wasn't coming from the uterus and wasn't affecting the pregnancy. Well, the next day the heavy bleeding/hideous cramps started and continued into Monday when I naturally miscarried at home. After my AF returns, we will be trying again and not stopping until we get our sticky bean, and we can't wait for that day to come!

and a little about your journey here!
I was told I shouldn't have kids and not liking to be told what to do, I think I've gone a little overboard
I had an early miscarriage before we had our first. After she was born, we TTC and had a chemical pregnancy. We then went on to have 5 more kids, all with scary problems and complications and LOTS of bedrest. We almost lost our 5th due to a complete placental abruption but were lucky because she was born en caul (in the amniotic sack) and I was on hospital bedrest so they were able to revive her quickly.
When I found out I was pg, things were wrong from the start. I had bleeding, then 4 weeks later more bleeding. By the time I went in to the ER, the baby had been gone for some time and my HCG was already only 35 at 8wks. For some strange reason, my body just doesn't like to stay pg.
I still have this crazy desire to have a take home baby, so that is my goal. 36 weeks, here I come!

Journey: When I was 13 I was told I might need help to have kids and that it was kind of unlikely I would get pregnant on my own.. but at 13 you think.. ohh thats no big deal .. Till I wanted a baby in my early 20s.. With my first marriage it was NTNP and in 5 years I never got pregnant.. When we separated and I got together with my now EX I got pregnant in 4 months.. go figure easy pregnancy. the hospital botched the induction and I had to have a c-section but she was healthy... and is a happy 6 year old now . Sadly her father was an alcaholic so I had to leave him because he was getting abusive and had violet outbursts . It was about a year and a half to two years before I met my husband who is a U.S. Marine.. We dated for 9 months and then got married.. We tried to get pregnant starting after 6 months of dating because I figured it would take sometime... We tried for a total of two years and finally got pregnant with my youngest daughter, again easy peasy pregnancy ..
3 months after her birth we started trying for #2 together, we wanted one more.. 20 months later after trying on our own, low end fertility treatments( clomid metformin) 2 cycles of injectables and timed BD and then finally after our first IUI and injections we got pregnant .. but for some reason right from the start something seemed off.. it is hard to describe..We found out it was twins but we had already lost one.. a week later or so we lost baby B.. I named them Andrew and Caleb .. The tests came back that they were both chromosomally normal.. So I feel like it was my fault . I had to have 2 D&Cs because of complications and was in the hospital because they gave me an infection . Now 4 months later we have just started treatments again with FSH injections and will do a trigger shot and IUI . If all goes well the IUI will be sometime next week.. I'll be able to test at the end of the month ... I hope it works... I really honestly have a good feeling.. except for when I dont . Sorry for the long note :-)

and a little about your journey here! Dh and I have been married since May 2008. We've never used protection. We started trying in June/July of 2009. I was dxed with stage IV endo in Oct 2009. I had lap surgery in feb 2010, to remove the endo. I also lost my left tube. we started trying right away as we were told the best time to get prego is within 6 months of the lap. We got pregnant in April, heard the heart beat in June, found out the HB stopped July 1st.
DH has been since diagnosed with a low sperm count, due to a variocele. He is having surgery Oct 14t to hopefully correct the problem.

My Journey: DH and I got married in 2004, and we said we were going to be on the "5 year plan"... Meaning, we would wait 5 years to have kids. Well, a couple years into the marriage I decided this was not going to work out for me, and tried to convince him to start earlier! I said that we really meant it was 5 years until we started "popping out" kids, and we'd better start. (He didn't go for that, haha) Then I said that we'd better start in case one of us didn't "work"... He didn't go for that either! In the meantime, we got a cat. haha. Our friends were bugging us so much about getting a cat, dog, or kid... he chose the easiest!
Once we hit 5 years, he still wanted to wait longer. I ended up having two foot surgeries right after our 5-year anniversary, so it worked out anyway. At 5.5 years (January 2010) we NTNP, and got pregant in 4 cycles. (My cycles are long and irregular, so it was actually 6 months) I got an early ultrasound because my uterus felt small based on LMP, and to date the pregnancy. The u/s showed growth was only 6 weeks (2 weeks behind LMP), and heartbeat was slow. I had some minor spotting (brown and red, but only when I wiped. TMI!). At the follow-up ultrasound the next week, the hearbeat had stopped and there had been no growth since the previous week. I had a D&C the next day.
We have officially been TTC since a few weeks after my D&C, once my doctor gave us the "thumbs up" to proceed.... She normally would've told us to wait until the next AF before trying, but because of my irregular cycles she let us start. Didn't get my BFP that cycle, so I'm hoping this one turns out better!! A "typical" cycle length would be a great start!

Hello!!! October ROLL CALL!!!!!!!!!

Newbies, Oldbies, and Lurkers.... WHO IS HERE!!!!!
Tell Us your

and a little about your journey here!DH (32) & I started to ttc April 1st, 2008... we got pregnant in June'09 but lost our little one July 30th, 2009. We were ttc and got pregnant before 1stAF postloss. Long story short a dr's mistake caused us to look our little bean. We continued to ttcal and Christmas brought a miriacle found out Jan 7th we were pregnant! After spotting one morning and intense pain I could barely walk, my friend took mt to the ER and that's when I started getting investigated for an ectopic pregnancy, They were sure and in all I had 5,6 u/s continued beta's and was treated with methotrexate. However I believe we should have opted for the surgery because when I was in labor for our loss it was so incrediably painful had to be my tube. Bled for 60 days and I was referred to an RE, where she did 20 viles of bloodwork, cycle monitoring and so much more to find out a cause for our losses. So far everything has checked out except my loss left tube so fertility is reduced by 50%.
It's been 4 months, 5 cycles of trying since hsg... had a couple confirmed chemicals in that time, but no real sticky bfp. Praying that this cycle #30 is it! (we do every cycle, but it really wears on ya after a while) 5months and it'll be 3yrs of ttc.

My Journey: I have 2 healthy little boys (5 and 2). We got pregnant but for some reason (unknown to us all) my little Patrick was born sleeping on March 31 2010. We got pregnant again in June 2010 but I had a early miscarriage at around 8 weeks. I've had 1 AF since and I'm 5 days from O day!!! Since losing Patrick this whole process scares the crapola right out of me!!

TTC#1!!!!
Got onto JM and TTCAL in August, after my ectopic rupture/near-death experience over Memorial Day weekend, at the beginning of my 3rd cycle after the loss. (I had an early 6w loss in 2009 as well.) I truly think that venting and finding the TTCAL community here helped me emotionally recover enough that DH and I were able to BD a lot that cycle, and I got a BFP, which last week was confirmed as intrauterine!!
I'm barely 7w along though, and spotting, and have not seen the h/b - the sac was measuring 4 days behind schedule at my last u/s. I have bad m/s which gives me hope, but I'm not sure if the bean will make it or not, so I may be back here soon. But for now I'm still a friendly lurker, chart-stalker, commenter etc

and a little about your journey here! We were NTNP for about 2 years (I'm not sure of the exact length of time) and we got a BFP in March of 2008. Then we had a miscarriage in early April at 9 weeks 6 days. This board was a lifesaver to me. I'm sure I would have gone crazy and/or had a meltdown if it wasn't for the support that I got on this board.
After our loss we started to actively TTC right away, and then we experienced infertility. We tried IVF this past March and I got a BFP in April of this year.
Now I lurk here to keep track of everyone and to offer support.
I hope that you will all graduate soon!
