As most know I work for a Pediatrician. And for the most part I get thru ok since I work in billing in the back. Well on Friday I had to cover the front desk as I have done so before with no problems. A patient came in. A 6 month old boy. Just a lil chunk, very adorable. I was talking to him and ooing and ahhing over him and honestly felt no sadness or anything then just outta the blue started crying.. I was like WTH?!? I had to turn quickly and walk away before the mother prolly thought I was nutz! I wasent feeling anything at the time. I wasent angry, sad, happy.. nadda and just started crying. Has that happened to anyone before? Just caught be off guard. I cry at times but Im usually feeling down and emotional but Friday I was actually happy!

I know exactly what you mean.
Lately it seems that everywhere I go, there are lil babies around, and i'm always stuck behind them in the checkout line and they are just staring at me!

That happened to me when I saw pregnant women. It wasn't all pregnant women, it just suddenly hit me sometimes, like it did with you. *hugs*

At least you were crying while looking at a baby. I find myself crying standing in the tampon isle. Now that is a sight you don't want to see.

For me, it is pregnant women. I randomly cried at my BIL's wedding!!! I was talking to a friend of the groom's and he says "Yeah, we are due in Feb"...wham, crying! I hate how it sneaks up on me, since I feel so caught off guard.
I am sure that the mom didn't think you were nuts. I bet she knew why you were crying. At least, I hope she had some awareness. It is amazing you do so well there, I would be a basketcase all the time!

Yes, when I saw pregnant women it happened, and tiny babies. I would feel 'fine' and then all of the sudden the tears would just start flowing.
It doesn't get easier, does it?
((HUGS)) I am sorry.

I know how you feel too. There was a b-day party yesterday and we had to leave because they had babies there. Sad part was we got there as soon as the babies got there and the little boy loves my DH. Poor thing clung to him and I had to walk out. So I feel you.

It happens to me often. More so when I see a baby that would be around Ella's age...I've actually started crying more than once. Today I saw a little baby girl sitting in a stroller that looked to be the same age she would of been, and I had to look away...I do that more now, it just hurts to look at babies

Awe Becca I'm sorry honey!
I've had those times as well, oh my, yes. Day going fine and then I see something like a pregnant lady and it just opens up those flood gates of tears with raw emotion. Babies make me hopeful usually, at more so lately, especially when they just stare at me fixated... I often wonder if they *see* my angel babies surrounding me.
No, I'm not sure it ever gets easier... Was talking with a ttcal graduate and she had said that she thought once she got pg then had her rainbow baby that the pain n hurt would go away forever... But then told me no it didn't. It made it easier to handle tho.

Thanks ladies! It's so nice to know Im not alone. It was just wierd. Ive had days where I am more emotional and the smallest thing makes me cry or upset but to be happy and not even be thinking about it and out of the blue - Wham!
