hello ladies..i doubt anyone recalls my last post from October 4th(the link above), but I had just been told by my doctor that I most likely had an ovarian cyst that ruptured. I was in a lot of pain and so many of you ladies were very supportive, which I appreciate so very much. The update is that on Tuesday Oct 5, my pain got even more severe and I pleaded with someone at my ob/gyn's office to see me. My regular doctor was away at surgery but i saw another doctor. They did an u/s and confirmed a cyst, but said that it was leaking. They sent me home and then within 10 minutes of being back home, I passed out on the floor from the pain. My husband drove me to the ER. I told them about my earlier diagnosis of having a cyst. They checked my vitals and then told me to go back home. I was arguing with the ER doctor saying I did NOT feel comfortable going back home. He agreed to admit me for observation. A nurse came in to put in an IV and right as she started I had a sudden, very severe episode of chest pain, that only eased up after being given some very strong IV narcotic pain killers. With this, my regular ob/gyn was called in to the hospital. He checked my vitals and felt my abdomen and was able to trigger the same chest pain as before. He ordered a CAT scan and determined that I had a LOT of internal bleeding and needed emergency surgery
In sum, I had two cyst on my right ovary. One was a functional cyst and one was a corpeus luteum cyst that had ruptured but was continuously hemorraging blood.
I'm doing better now...but lesson learned....DO NOT let anyone talk you down and tell you you are fine when you know you are not. I lost a lot of blood and almost had to have a blood transfusion. I was also in the worst pain I've ever experienced. I was SHOCKED that people were not taking my pain seriously and am quite frankly a bit scared of trusting ER doctors again. Thank god for my ob/gyn who came in and saved the day basically. Go with your gut and do whatever you can to make people listen...
thank you all and I wish you ladies the best

OMG scary! I completely agree never to back down from anything like that. 3 years ago, I started to vomit all the time and I could not hold anything down. I only had mild cramping in the stomach. They told me they thought it was simple stress and maybe Acid Reflux. Then then scheduled an ultrasound for a month away. Well before the month was there, I went into the ER when I started vomiting blood. (I had already lost 20 lbs at this point.) A month later in the hospital they learned my gall bladder stopped working and I was slowly going septic. They tried to send me home when I couldn't breath on my own and I was down 10 more lbs. My husband went ballistic and went and got another doctor. After my surgery I felt so much better. But I almost died!! Be careful ladies and do NOT take no as an answer!
