So we went yesterday for our CD 7 visit with the fertility dr . He said that my estradol results were good but did not tell me the numbers . On my left I have 3 good follies, on my right I only have 1 good sized follicle . However I had a ton of smaller ones on my right .. I feel positive because it is one more then we had last time ( last time we only had 3 ) .. He said he likes to see 4,5 or 6 eggs . I asked him what his cut off would be for too many possible eggs.. he said it depends on the patient , how long they have been treated and so on .. I asked him what my cut off would be again and he said it is really up to you, as long as you know the risks we can go a head with 6 or 8 . I was concerned because I have 4 good sized follies right now but he sent me home with enough meds to take 150 IU a day for 3 more days ( they gave me a shot while I was there for 150 IU while I was there ) So 4 more days worth . He said he might be able to pull one or two more or rahter get one or two more to grow . When we left he said to come an hour early so i could do another estradol test b4 our apointment , he also said, "see you on thursday, hope you don't have too many follicles'".. We were kind of like..... oooK ..
So I was wondering how many of you had gone in and had a scan around day 7 and been told that you had some follies that were very little and still had them grow, big enough to be viable /egg containing?
I am not sure but I think there were around 4-6 tiny ones. he did say they could still grow but not sure how much . He was hopeful maybe one or two of them would get bigger ..
The only downside to it all was that my lining was a little thin.. btu he said it should be ok and that they will give me progesterone tablets 200MG a day and that should help . We did decide to do the IUI , it will come close to breakign the bank but.. we kind of figured it worked last time on the first try.. Maybe we have an issue with CM.. Even so I am also taking EPO 3 times a day and that ALWAYS does wonders for my CM since I have started taking it, just incase we can get a few extra swimmers where they need to be . Normally we BD 2 days b4 the IUI , have the IUI, bd the same night as the IUI , as well as the next two nights .. I was wondering how progesterone will effect the sperm ? I believe I will be taking it vag and not oral .
Also, shoudl I be worried that the DR is so willing to do the IUI with 6 or more possible eggs? Seeing as I have 4 now, I had 3 last time and got pregnant with twins( that I lost) will more eggs raise the chance even higher for more babies, or doe sit jsut raise my chances for a baby overall , Thanks guys !!
