Does anyone know:

After the loss, I'm still getting positive HPTs so is there any point in starting my OPKs yet? Should I wait til the HPTs are negative to take the OPKs or do you ever ovulate while still having HCG in your system?

I didn't get a positive opk until 2 weeks after I got a negative hpt. I would save the OPKs and wait for your hog to go to 0. Are you getting blood draws to make sure it's going down?

Ok thanks. I had it drawn the day of the m/c in the ER and HCG was 19,000. Then 3 days later it was drawn and was 4,000. That's the last draw she ordered.

Are you going to have a follow up appt at all? Just wondering bc usually they like to follow you until you reach 0, just to make sure you didn't retain anything. It might be a good idea to call if you're concerned at all - originally my doc didn't want to see me until 6 weeks after my m/c, and when I mentioned that I had concerns that everything had passed, she fit me in for an appt and I've been getting blood draws weekly (just for my own peace of mind).

I would wait till your HCG was 0 before using OPK's...I noticed that my HPT's went light fairly fast, but it seemed like the last bit took forever before they went to negative (really it wasn't that long, just seemed like it)...I hope your tests go to negative quickly!!! BTW my doctors never followed mine down to 0...I think if your bleeding after 2 weeks then they'll check for anything retained HTH

Thanks ladies. She told me to come in the first week of november for a follow up. That'd be a month after the m/c but she did an u/s to see if everything was out because the bleeding had become just spotting by then and I never got a call so I'm assuming that means the u/s showed everything out

Joni, i'm sure your fine...If they saw something i'm sure they would of told you ...I had my last miscarriage at 9 weeks (Natural) and they told me that the only thing to be worried about is if the bleeding lasts more than 2 weeks (which usually means retained tissue)...I wouldn't worry

I have no clue since this is new to me, but I'm curious about my levels too.
