This whole charting thing is new to me and I have a question about temping. I typically take my temp at 6AM give or take a few minutes. I even set my alarm on the weekends to 6 so I can take it same time everyday. This morning I woke about 4AM and need to use the restroom so I went ahead and took my temp before I got out of bed. It was 97.44. I woke again at 6AM and decided to take it again just to see what it would be and it was 97.70. Which temp am I really suppose to use the first one or the 2nd one? I went ahead and used the first one and changed my time but wanted to make sure. Im not getting a +OPK and my cbefm is only giving me "high" readings so Im relying on my temps to tell me whats going on. Thanks ladies!

I have ran across the same problem, but I wouldn't use the second temp since it wasn't a solid 3 hrs of uninterrupted sleep.. So I believe what you used was the better of the two..

Becca, to be honest if it was me, I'd probably use the second temp (but I am bad ). Then if you don't have more high temps in the next couple days, I would just go back in and switch it out for the first temp I am like a master cheater at BBT charting

But I know how frustrating it is to have confusing fertility signs and to ovulate later than you want to. I hope everything clears up for you soon

You should use the first temp... As long as you have 3-4 hours of sleep use it.

I worked shift work.. And would take my temp at different times.. day and night. (never set an alarm) As long as I ha 3-4 hours I would use it. I ALWAYS showed Ovulation that correlated with my OPK's, Cervical position and fluid.

GOOD LUCK!!!! Praying this is your cycle!

Yah, use the first temp. If it makes things wonky, you can disregard it and it will show a better pattern.
