My O pain varies widely. I always have it, but sometimes it is only a couple hours, sometimes a whole day, and sometimes several days. The doc says it depends on where the follicle develops and how firmly it is attached when it starts to break away from the ovary. I saw a video of ovulation once and it is a pretty violent process, it is amazing that more people don't feel more pain. This cycle I was sore for about 36 hours. When I woke up yesterday morning it was gone, indicating that I had, in fact, ovulated. That is usually how I tell, the pain stops.
I would tend to say that nothing is wrong, since they just checked your ovaries and did not see any cysts or abnormal growths. Those tend to take a little while to develop to a painful point. See what happens in the next couple days and if the pain persists, I would call the doc to ease your mind. It might just have been a really violent ovulation/attachment. So it could be nothing. But it is good you are taking it seriously, just in case it IS something.
ETA: This is your first O after the miscarriage? That does have a really big effect on all aspects of your body. My first O and first period after my "big" loss (the 12 week one) was enough to kill me. It was the hormonal shifts that caused it to be so much worse. I would not worry this cycle, since you just had the M/C. If it continues into other cycles, I would talk to the doc.
