I recently found out that I am pregnant, and found out today that its ending as my hcg levels are dropping. Problem is this has happened to me about 5 months ago. I made it to 5 w 2 days last time and this one I am 4 weeks 2 days but I havent lost if yet, still waiting for that to happen. I have 4 children that I never had any issues with, has anyone else had more than 1 m/c after they had children? It really worries me that this ia happening, my RE seems to think that this is normal since its such an early loss, and if it happens a 3rd time he will check my uterin lining. Is there anything I can do on my own to help prevent it again if infact it is my uterus? I heard about b6, folic acid, progesterone (which I took this time since it was dropping too) baby asprin, and i even heard about drinking 2 glasses of 100% grape juice everyday. We cant ttc again until January, but I just want info on this, so I know Im not alone. I am 28 years old and dh is 30, I had my other kids when I was younger, and I know I am older, but I didnt think my fertility would change so quickly. Im just feeling worried that this may not happen for us. We will e ttcing again in December/January

Hello,

So sorry to hear your levels are dropping. I just experienced my first loss on 9/29 so I dont have a lot of info or advice on this subject. I have a 4 year old daughter where I had absolutely no complications at all and I'm 31, so relatively young still and never thought I'd have a miscarriage.

I'm curious to hear other people's input/suggestions, as I do not want this to happen again to me either.

HUGS!

I'm sorry your numbers are dropping. That's a nightmare all its own. I've had 3 losses, and I'm in the very distinct patter of lose one (8/05), have one (7/06), lose one (8/07), have one (5/08), lose one (9/10). With the last one I had to have a d&c because I made it to 11 weeks and my body just wasn't understanding that something was wrong. They did testing this time and found no reason for the loss. I've heard of all those things you've mentioned but haven't used any of them. My doctor has acknowledged that my pattern is very strange, but seems to think it's just something that happens, and the test results appear to back that up.

I understand what you are going through as I have had 6 losses in a row after my son who is now 3. I have had all the testing and nothing appears wrong. I have tried the baby aspirin and the progesterone and they have not helped either. Not much advice I can give but to hang in there and try again!

I am so sorry for your losses Most doctors won't do testing to look for causes of recurrent miscarriage until you've had 3 losses But you might be able to find one who will let you get them done. I don't have much advice, but I just wanted to say that I hope you get your sticky BFP soon after you start trying.

I am so sorry for your losses....and yes...there are lots of ladies who have had normal pregnancies followed up by more than one loss. I had 9 children without so much as a hiccup and now trying for our last one we have had 4 losses, the most recent at 13 weeks just a few weeks ago.

After our third loss I want and had all the usual tests done to see if there was anything to be found and we couldn't find anything. My doctor told me if I were to get pregnant again I needed to be on the usual things....ie prenatal vitamins, but he also wants me on folic acid, baby aspirin and progesterone. I would ask your doc if any of these things might help prevent a third miscarriage. Good luck.

I am so sorry you are going through this. How very sad

You are still very young... Hang onto hope. I am 41 and had 3 boys (my youngest is 15) without any issues at all. I have had 2 losses in the last 1 1/2 years. Don't let your age discourage you. ((Hugs))

I'm sorry you are going through another loss.
I had a loss before my first, one before my 2nd then had 5 pregnancies without a loss and have now had 2 more losses. I had just general tests done like CBC, thyroid etc and everything looks fine other than some anemia. They won't do further testing until 3 losses and I was told it's just a luck of the draw. My SIL, who's 38 has had 10 kids and no losses while my other SIL has had at least 2mc's and has a hard time getting pg and she is only 25.
Hang in there.
