The doctor called the other day and told me that the genetic karyotyping they did after my d&c came back normal. So the pathology was normal and the genetic tests were normal. I asked her if my losses just fall under "sometimes things happen" and she said she believes so. She didn't offer up the gender, and I'm honestly not ready to hear it yet. It's nice to know they have it when I am ready. I'm not sure where to go from here, other than to try again once af returns. It's been a month since my d&c and I'm still getting faint positives on hpts, so who knows when that'll be.

Lori, I'm sorry they weren't able to give you any answers Have you talked with them about getting yourself tested for causes of recurrent miscarriage? I am so glad that you are able to find out the gender of your little one when you are ready.

Have you considered getting yourself and your DH karotyped? They tested our first miscarriage and the baby was unaffected, but they later found that DH has a balanced translocation which caused the other losses that weren't tested. I think it worth it, it's just a vial of blood!

I've been thinking about calling and asking for them to do the testing for recurrent loss. Since I have such a distinct pattern (lose one, have one, lose one, have one, lose one) I think they're waiting to see if the next one is healthy or another loss. Part of me is too.
