Ok, So I had my IUD removed yesterday, and I have been anxiously awaiting AF every minute since then. In a way it sucks because I had the IUD put in November of 2008 so I have been AF free for almost two years now, ha ha which has been amazing . But if I have to endure a few months of AF to get another baby in my arms, it will be totally worth it.

Anyway, back on track. AF just showed up. I must say I have never been happier to start AF. I love kids, and I love being pregnant, so knowing that I get to start trying now is fabulous!

I went out and bought Folic Acid, Red Raspberry Leaf Capsules, and Vitex today. I took two of each as I was cooking dinner. The Folic Acid is supposed to help prevent miscarriage, as well as make the baby healthier. Red Raspberry tones your uterus, I took it when I was pregnant with #1 during the last 3 weeks to prepare for labor and I am convinced it is why my labor was so easy. Vitex is supposed to encourage fertility in women, so I figured after two years of no period, it can't hurt. The shop is going to call me when Evening Primrose Oil comes in, I hear that is supposed to help the CM be more friendly. So that, as of now, will be my regiment everyday.

Its been a great day! I went to my mom's to get some more of my stuff (I just moved into an Apartment with DF), and my mom decided to keep my daughter tonight. So I was able to come home and get the kitchen clean and all of our random stuff put away and cleaned up in about an hour and a half. So now I am going to sit down with a glass of wine and watch some more NCIS (gotta love the marathons on USA) and enjoy my nice, clean, quit evening. ~DF fell asleep on the couch about an hour ago, lol he is not happy about no BD'ing for the next few days till AF leaves. I told him he will get sick of BD'ing by the time I get done with him this month ~

ps: Cramps suck

Yea! I am so glad you are raring to go with baby dancing

I don't mean to rain on your parade, but I was told you are supposed to wait out two cycles when having an IUD removed (I had one too). The IUD irritates the lining of the uterus (I am sure you noticed when it was put in!) and apparently it can take a couple months for the uterus to produce a healthy, supportive lining for the eggie. My doc said that waiting two periods ensures that all the irritation is gone and that the lining will be healthy enough to not reject the egg. I am not saying you absolutely have to wait, but just be aware that it is often the advice given to women having an IUD removed

That's interesting because my doc told me the oppisite, but I had the copper iud in he said that we could start trying right away if we wanted to. BUT years ago when I had my 5yr iud in the doc then said for that one the things you said about two cycles. And on the cycle after waiting those two cycles we got pregnant with our youngest!

^^I think the difference might be the hormones. I guess it might use hormones to irritate the lining. Not sure the reason, and it might have just been my doc and her experiences. But I did listen, since I didn't want to risk something going wrong and it being "my fault."
