Hi everyone. What was your first post m/c AF like? Everything I have read says to expect it to be very heavy but I got mine today, CD 24 after the loss, (my cycles are normally 24 - 26 days long) but it's barely there. I'm just spotting - maybe the size of 3 quarters all day long.

Extra info: Loss was at 10 weeks along, natural m/c, bled heavily day 1 - 5, spotted day 6 - 14. Now getting what I *think* is AF 10 days later on day 24.

I had some spotting about a week before my AF actually came (my miscarriage was at 9 weeks and natural)...I also didn't get mine till almost 2 months after my miscarriage (after both my miscarriages actually)....Yes AF is heavy (for me any way), but I also have heavy periods any way, so it was just slight heavier than usual...I think what was worst for me is the cramps...They were really bad, and started about a week before AF came...It was also longer than usual too.

My one in July was at 8 weeks and natural. I bled heavy for about a week after and that was it. My first AF after was shorter than usual (5 days total instead of 7) and really light compared to my regular AF. My AF's since then have been lighter and shorter too. My MC this last time has been like my normal AF's. Heavy and long with lots of cramps. I'm hoping not to find out what the next AF will be like.

Hooray for you for getting AF back! I'm waiting for mine, had my d&c on 9/30! She cannot get here quick enough for me! I'm curious to see how it will be too though.

The actual flow has not been any heavier for me but the cramping is insane. For the first 3 months after my 1st loss the cramping was so bad I almost went to the hospital. With this one, I knew AF was coming as I cramped up so bad a few days before she came and I don't normally cramp at all. Yuck!

Still waiting for mine, but cramping has started. I was sure AF had arrived last night because the cramping was getting strong, but nothing - not even spotting. I had my d&c on October 1st so we are close in our cycles. I wonder if you are just spotting. My usual periods start with light spotting about one week before AF shows herself. Who knows what'll happen this time.

I was in the "insane cramps and heavy bleeding" category. I did not have a natural M/C and I bled like crazy after the D & C. I generally bleed a lot anyway, so the heaviness did not faze me. The cramps were killer though, and I am not a crampy person. I would not worry no matter how it plays out. We are all so different. You might just get lucky and have an easy time of it

I wonder if you are just spotting too? My doctor said it will be at least 5 - 7 weeks after the m/c until AF returns, but who knows, everybody is different! I'm 4 weeks out from my m/c and hoping for AF to show soon. I hope this is it for you!

I had my d&c on Oct 6th, bled for about 10 days then there was nothing. I think I started my af on Oct 20th. Lasted 5 days. Light flow.
