My brother married my SIL at the beginning of September. They've been together for 6 years and finally got married and so they decided to ttc right away, since she's 32 and in her words, if she's going to have a baby it has to be now.

Anyway, they got pregnant on the first try, which was exciting. But she's got her first u/s today...and I am so anxious for her. I have no reason to be, she's not had any spotting or anything. This u/s is just a standard one. But....I'm going to be devastated if she gets bad news. So far I'm the only one in my generation in my family who has had a pregnancy loss (out of the 9 pregnancies so far (including Dawn's), Cora's was the only one that hasn't ended in a baby), and while I kind of feel a little lonely in that, I'm okay with being the only one.

I just want to hear good news already! (I have no idea when her appointment is!)

Having a multiple losses has really opened my eyes to it.. I always think about it when my friends mention they are pregnant.. I think it is normal for us to feel that way... I would never in a million years want one of my family members or close friends to go through it, but I know they happen, and I want to be there for them regardless..

I do get nervous. We always have people in my family announcing pregnancies (I have a huge family) and I always cringe a little inside now, since I seem to be the only one who has miscarriages as a regular part of the pregnancy thing. Which in lots of ways is good...but I can't help but be on pins and needles until they get the good news that things are okay. It is just a second nature thing. I am aware of what CAN happen now and I can't take back that awareness. I try not to show it to them though, since I don't want to ruin their high.

That's how I am. I just told her I was really excited for her and I couldn't wait to hear how it went. Inside I'm just so anxious. I'm just scared that the other shoe is going to drop, kwim?
